The Y2V disclaimer is at the end this time, something new to try. At last, after painstaking college classes, and a little careful planning of the plot, I finished Chapter 2 of this fic. The 3rd chapter should come along a little faster since I'm lighter on college classes and work. Last time, we learned what Deanna Kokorono turns out to be. She may be the villain of this series, but there is still a lot of mystery surrounding her. Much will be revealed about her throughout this fic, and throughout the entire anthology, though slowly as it has been in my other fics. We'll just see what's in store for Russell, Deanna, and the others, shall we. Amy Anderson stands at the crowded gate, looking out the window at all the planes on the tarmac and the people working on the ground. There, the typical airport scenery keeps the petite girl somewhat occupied as she awaits the plane bringing her beloved Russell home from America. The thought of the look on Russell's face when he sees the welcome home gift Amy got for him dances lively in her mind. Wondering when his flight's finally going to arrive, Amy takes a quick peek at the flight schedules. There it shows that almost a third of the flights that have arrived were delayed about 15 minutes. She then looks at her watch, which shows that his flight should be here in a couple minutes. With that time in mind, she looks back outside, and the only planes moving is one going to a different gate and the other taxing toward the runway. No planes have landed yet, which means Russell's flight might've been delayed. Amy decides that it'd be better to read one of her novels than to stare out at the airport scenery. So she takes a seat in an empty chair and begins reading through the story, almost absorbing herself into it. Though she absorbs herself in studies and stories, she always seems to be aware of her environment. She's proven it to her friends, the Sailor Scouts, on a number of occasions. So she'll know when Russell's plane finally makes it here. As Amy reads, people begin pouring out of a nearby gate, where that one plane she saw had just parked. The area around the gate begins to flood in cheerful reunions. Some are family members reuniting, some are people meeting for business, and some are couples sharing a warm and loving embrace. One particular couple grabs Amy's attention from her story. A young woman shares a tearful reunion with a tall, slim man wearing a light blue short-sleeved shirt with a red tie, and glasses. The sight of their embrace and their kiss makes Amy think of Russell, and their reunion being like that couple's. But Amy has never been much for these kinds of reunions. She's waited for Greg here on one occasion, but the reunion was never anything like that couple's. She lets out a sigh as she watches the couple shares a passionate kiss, one like her first kiss with Russell. That is really something she will cherish for the rest of her life, that first kiss. 'I want my reunion with Russell to be like that,' Amy thinks to herself. She then takes a look at the nicely boxed and wrapped gift, 'I'm sure he'll love this gift I got for him.' Thinking about this kind of reunion is a little easier for Amy, especially now since none of her Sailor Scout friends are with her. Her mother had driven her to the airport to see Russell, and trusted that he'd bring her home safely. 'I'm sure glad the others aren't here,' she says to herself, 'They'd sure look at me differently after my reunion with Russell. I won't be the typical shy, nose in the books Amy they know once I see Russell. But how do I go about carrying out that kind of reunion?' That sticks out in her mind, since Amy is no expert at romance, although she sometimes thinks about finding her one true love. Luckily, she has found her true love, and well before everyone else has, with the exception of Serena, who knows Darien is the one for her even though they aren't dating. But the thought of that kind of reunion, dates, and even spending romantic times with that true love still makes Amy a little nervous. She wonders if this reunion will turn out how she wants it to, like that couple's. 'They really do love each other,' she thinks to herself as she sees the couple still in a warm embrace, appearing as if they'll never let go. 'I love Russell too, but I want this to be a good reunion, and not just a greeting, a hug, and then leave the airport,' she thinks to herself. It's as if she's more afraid of being inadequate in the display of her affections in Russell's eyes than looking like a couple that's not very romantic. She thinks back to a conversation with Lita a couple nights ago, after Russell had left. "Russell may not like sharing his deeper feelings with anyone, but he's a very romantic guy with a spirit as white as snow. He chose those whom he dated very wisely, even though girls tended to flock around him. Who would blame them? He's such a cute guy. Who wouldn't want him to take them to the movies? To him, I wasn't just a girl that he'd rarely choose to take out on one date. He admired not only my more... feminine qualities like cooking, but he admired my true self. He admired my strength, my athleticism, and what's even odder is my ability to stand up to people. Unlike those he chose to take out on a date, he and I were together for a week. We not only dated, we went to the mall, we shared cooking secrets, played a few sports together, and I even coached him a little in his individual soccer practices. Even today, he and I still share some stuff, things we have in common as friends." Remembering that conversation helps calm Amy's nervousness and even helps her a little with how she wants the reunion to go. 'Lita's right. He loved her for who she truly is, and he loves me for who I truly am. It's better to just let things happen as they happen, and be more myself and let Russell be himself in this reunion,' she concludes. He thinks back to that first kiss, and the intense romantic moment that led to it. That too will help her in this reunion. She looks outside to see that Russell's plane hasn't arrived yet. It's been 10 minutes. If this flight is like the others that have been delayed, then this flight might take another 5 minutes. So Amy gets back to her reading, with more confidence in this reunion. Just let her true feelings speak for themselves. The story will keep her occupied until his plane makes it. She pays little attention to the people in the terminal, awaiting the planes carrying their loved ones. Minutes later, Amy notices a shadow beginning to creep into the window. This is too dark of a shadow to be that of an approaching thunderstorm. This creeping shadow distracts Amy from her reading as she turns to see what's casting the shadow. Excitement overcomes Amy when she sees a large 747 jet pulling up to the ramp. She closes her book, grabs the wrapped gift, and awaits her beau. Amy watches as large numbers of passengers emerge from the ramp and into the terminal. She sees a repeat of what she saw minutes ago as people unite. Many different people walk into the terminal and in her view. Some of the guys are wearing suits and ties, a number are in Hawaiian shirts since the flight was out of Honolulu, but Russell isn't anywhere in sight. She waits patiently, wondering when Russell's finally going to come out. After large numbers of people file out of the ramp, a shadowy figure hidden behind the group of people filing out catches Amy's eye. She easily picks Russell out of that group as a tear comes to her eye. Russell finally emerges from the ramp, wearing a brilliant Hawaiian shirt, like most of the other passengers, and khaki slacks. Amy only stands modestly, smiling as Russell approaches her. The tear rolls down her cheek as Russell pulls from behind his back a beautifully made lei and puts it around her neck. Amy's hands meet his stout chest as she lies her cheek against them. Russell wraps his arms around her petite body, pulling her closer to him and lying his head on hers. They separate briefly, with Amy still in Russell's arms. She wraps her arms around his neck and pulls herself closer, meeting his lips with hers and letting him know with that deep, passionate kiss that she missed having him around and wishes she were in America with him. They separate what seems like hours later and gaze into each other's eyes. "I know you," Russell says, gently caressing Amy's delicate cheek with the back of his fingers. Amy takes that hand and kisses it, then holds it in hers, "Hi there. Did you enjoy America?" "I sure did," Russell answers, "I got to look at the different cars Detroit has to offer. But I wanted only that one type of car. I found one in the perfect color, test-drove it, and really got into driving that car. I knew I chose the right one from the moment I sat in the driver's seat." "I'm glad you enjoyed your time there," says Amy, gently squeezing and caressing Russell's hand. "You know, it's odd how they drive in America," says Russell, "They drive on the right side of the road with the steering wheel on the left side. Luckily, they have an export car just like the one I test-drove. I got to sit in it too. It's really no different than the other one, just where they put the steering wheel." "You know, it's logical to put the steering column on the left side when a car drives on the right side of the road," says Amy, "An American could feel awkward driving here in his or her car. It would feel like driving on the wrong side of the road." "You got a point there," Russell agrees, "But, I'll have the car here in a couple days, so I'll be happy once it's here. I got something for you." He picks up a duffel bag and starts fumbling through it. After finding the buried treasure, he pulls out a stuffed calico cat. "Oh Russell, you know how much I like cats," Amy relies as her eyes glisten at the stuffed animal she is now holding in her hands. "I even got some littler ones," Russell says as he pulls out a few kitty Beanie Babies, a white one, a black one, and a calico one. "Russell, you are too sweet to me sometimes," she says as she takes the Beanie Babies in her hand, feeling their fine texture and bean bag roughness. "I got more," Russell says as he pulls out a sci-fi novel and a couple fantasy novels. "I love fantasy novels," Russell says, "I'm sure you'll love these. They remind me of Sailor Moon, with a little bit of Amy and Sailor Mercury beauty in it." "Thank you, Russell," Amy gasps, another tear rolling down her cheek, "I'll be sure and read them after I finish this one." Amy pulls out her book, which happens to be a fantasy novel. "I like fantasy novels too," she states. "I thought you were into sci-fi and mystery novels," Russell comments. "Russell, I wonder how a smart guy like you can't notice some of the simpler things most of the time," says Amy, being a bit sarcastic. "Well, I got 'ya a Hawaiian shirt too," says Russell as he whips it out of the duffel bag. Amy sets the stuff cats and the books down and walks back to Russell. She grabs the shirt and tosses it behind her, and onto the stuffed cats. She then wraps her arms around him and kisses him, letting him know she likes what he got her. "Your welcome," says Russell. "I got you something as well," says Amy. "Really?" "Yes." Amy walks to the wrapped gift and hands it to Russell. Russell shakes it, only to hear nothing. Amy only giggles at this attempt to guess the present, "You cheater." Russell begins to unwrap the small box, wondering what Amy had gotten for him. He then opens the unwrapped box, only to see a pair of fuzzy white dice, attached together by a string. "Wow, dice," he says. "It's a common way to decorate a car," says Amy, "And since you got a new car, I just thought I'd get you a pair of dice for the mirror." "Thank you Amy," Russell says, closing the box and embracing Amy, letting her know he's missed her. They all grab their gifts and head for the baggage claim, and later to Russell's old coupe. "God I loved this car," Russell says as he hops in the driver's seat, with Amy already next to him, "I'm gonna miss driving it." "Are you going to sell it?" Amy asks, noticing that Russell hasn't fixed the window that had busted out when Deanna dropped it. Russell starts the engine, which gives a quiet hum. He had replaced the muffler he lost when Deanna dropped his car. "No, I'm gonna take it back to my Aunt and Uncle's and fix it during spring break," he answers, "Don't tell Raye, but she's gonna get it when she's old enough to drive. Before then, I'll do a lot of restoring and make this old coupe look like new for her." Amy smiles at the sound of Russell's kindness, "She's lucky to share a great relationship with a brother like you." Russell back out of the parking space and makes his way towards Amy's house, enjoying one of the last times he'll drive this old coupe. Next Day... Russell makes it to his Particle Physics class, right before the professor does to begin the class. He looks at who all is present, and to his surprise finds Deanna is absent. 'Good, at least I don't have to worry about her today,' Russell thinks to himself as he takes his seat and prepares for his class. The professor begins lecturing immediately as Russell is dragging out his notes. Even though he's ahead of the class by a couple chapters, Russell still finds it useful to take notes on those subjects he had previously read about. Halfway through the class, Russell begins thinking of his new car again, and how he's looking forward to getting it tomorrow. He thinks about his test-drive back in America. 'Damn that is one fine car,' he thinks to himself, 'No wonder the car magazines liked it. And I like how it looks too. Everyone at the temple is gonna love it.' These thoughts stay on Russell's mind throughout the class, hindering his note taking skills. 'Good thing Deanna isn't here,' Russell thinks to himself, 'She'd probably read my mind and then nag me later for letting myself be distracted' After class, Russell looks at his notes to find that he only took about a third of what he normally takes. 'Shit, I just hope I don't do this bad after I finally get my car and get used to having it,' he scolds to himself in his head. He then walks to his next class, trying to clear the excitement out of his head. Yet, he also rests assured that he doesn't have to worry about Deanna. Meanwhile, at the Cherry Hill Temple... Raye emerges from her room, wearing her usual red and white temple kimono. She has the day off from school today, so she can do most of the temple work before everyone else gets home. She's even nice enough to do everyone else's chores, so when they come home, they only have a few to do. She planned this so she and everyone else at the temple have more time to themselves. It also gives her time to investigate what's going on with the vision Raye had before Russell had left for America. Now that he's back, he might very well be in danger again. She has already finished all her chores and most of Yuuichiro's and Romano's. Now, Raye prepares herself for a fire reading, one in hope would shed some light on her vision. Raye slides the door to the worship room open, with only the Great Fire lighting up the room. She walks gracefully and calmly into the room and towards the Great Fire. She kneels in front of the fire and falls to her knees. She reaches into her pocket and pulls out one of her more ceremonial scrolls, ones she didn't use against the Negaverse. She tosses it into the fire, causing it and the whole fire to flare up for a split second. She clasps her hands together and closes her eyes. "Earth, Air, Fire, Stars," she chants, "Fire is Light, that shines in the dark. Show me the meaning of my visions, my visions of the one after Russell." After a short moment of chanting, the vision of Tuxedo Inferno overcome by some unknown power shows in Raye's mind. Before she knows it, Raye stands in a small park, one she doesn't remember ever being in. Raye looks around, not knowing where she is. Immediately, Russell's body flies right by her and into a tree. The question of what sent him flying into it prompts Raye to turn her head. She sees the mysterious figure again, with the features blurred, just as in her last visions. All that stands out on this shadowy figure are the glowing blue eyes, obviously the source of the power sending Russell into the tree. She turns back to Russell to see that he's transformed into Tuxedo Inferno. Then, Raye watches on, as the images of the whole battle seem to take place in a matter of seconds. After witnessing the entire battle, Raye begins understanding a lot of things. 'So that's what is on Russell's mind,' she concludes, 'He lost a battle to this mysterious character, and badly. It's as if this character possesses powers superior to his. Oh Great Fire, show me this mysterious character who battles Tuxedo Inferno.' Instantly, what seems like hundreds of images appear in Raye's mind all at once, some good things about the character, many the character in battle against Tuxedo Inferno. Raye's eyes pop open as she gasps and falls backwards. She places her hand on her head, breathing heavily as if that horde of images took all that energy from her. "She's a new enemy," she confirms, "and she has something against Tuxedo Inferno and the Sailor Scouts." "I'm home," Russell's voice sounds throughout the temple. This only intensifies Raye's anxiousness, knowing that not only he's in danger, but possibly the Sailor Scouts as well if either she or the others transformed. What this new enemy wants is still unknown. But the power she wields is definitely not a force to be reckoned with. Russell walks into the worship room a short time later. "Hey Raye, how was your... you okay? He says, seeing that Raye looks as if she's seen a ghost. "Yeah, just had one heck of an experience," she answers evasively, yet being quite honest. "Well, I'm walking over to Darien's," he says, 'Oh, and thanks for finishing some of my work. I owe you one." "No problem," Raye says, thinking of the danger he's in, 'No use pleading with him not to go. I know, I'll call the other scouts, let them know of the situation, and follow him.' Raye gets up and quickly runs out of the worship room and into her room. She throws her kimono off and opens her closet. She pulls out a shirt and a pair of pants and quickly throws them on. She then grabs her transformation pen and scurries into the living room to see that Russell has already left. So she slips some shoes on and walks outside. She looks around for Russell and finds that he's at the bottom of the temple steps and turning onto the sidewalk. She pulls out her communicator and immediately follows him. Serena's face immediately pops up on the communicator. "You called to nag me again, Pyro?" Serena knowingly assumes. "Can it, Meatball Head," Raye snaps, "We may have a new enemy on our hands. And not only Russell's in danger, but we all are." "A new enemy?!" Serena shockingly says, "I can't believe the Negaverse is at it again, and after we defeated them for good." "I don't know if this new enemy is a survivor of the Negaverse or what her intentions are, but Russell's in danger. Let the other Scouts know and tell them to stand by. I'm going to follow him to Darien's and..." "WHAT?!?!" Serena snarls, her faces turning read, "Why do you follow him to see my Darien..." "Oh will you lay off, Meatball Head," Raye yells, "He doesn't even remember being destined to be with you. Besides, he and I were over with last year, and he doesn't even remember that relationship. Anyways, I'm following Russell to see if this new enemy decides to make another attack. I know she's already struck on least 2 occasions." "I'll let the others know," Serena says, "You be careful out there, and we'll be right behind you." The communicator beeps off as Raye slips it back into her pocket and continues following Russell. She keeps her distance behind him and keeps well hidden, making sure Russell doesn't see her. Later, they make it to a rather quiet part of the 10th street district, near a couple of outside businesses. Raye watches as Russell casually walks the sidewalk, almost blending in with the small crowds of people. Raye continues following him, deeper into the 10th street district, nearing more of the major businesses. Strangely, there aren't very many people out. It's as if everyone either stayed home for the day or are all at work. School will be out in an hour, lucky Raye caught Serena between classes, or the teacher would've given her another F for sure. Suddenly, Russell stops walking and begins looking around. At the same time Russell stops, a sense comes to Raye's mind, as if someone with extraordinary powers is watching her. 'This sense, it's the same thing I felt earlier today with my fire reading,' Raye thinks to herself. "So, you know I'm here. I see your ESP abilities don't disappoint," a nearby voice says. Russell turns in the direction of its origin to see a beautiful young woman exiting a sport sedan, wearing the same red and black coat, black skirt, and black knee-high high-heeled boots. Her eyes glow bright blue as a force lifts Russell off the sidewalk and pins him against the building. "I hope you've strengthened up since our last confrontation," she says. Russell strains under the force of his body pressing against the hard concrete. "So you wanna fight again, huh Deanna?" Russell yells against the force acting on him. Raye's eyes widen at the sight of a seemingly normal-looking girl overpowering her older brother. She watches on as this girl pins Russell to the wall with some type of telekinesis. She takes a closer look at the girl to see that her eyes are glowing bright blue, something all too familiar to her. Immediately, images of the shadowy character flash in her mind. What stands out on this girl and the shadowy girl is the fact that they both have she same glowing blue eyes. 'So this must be the new enemy I saw in my visions,' she thinks to herself, 'but she appears to be just a normal person. I sense no negative force in her, no feelings towards Russell, nothing. It's as if she's attacking Russell as a random target, for no reason. But she seems too powerful to not be of the Negaverse.' "You want another fight, Deanna? I'll give you a fight," Russell says as he raises his obsidian jewel ring against Deanna's telekinetic force. Deanna watches as an aura of fire surrounds Russell's body, almost concealing his identifying features. The fire extinguishes seconds later to reveal her opponent. In response, she releases her telekinetic grasp, dropping Tuxedo Inferno to the ground. 'So, her name is Deanna,' Raye says to herself and decides she's seen enough. Convinced about the new enemy, she grabs her communicator and contacts the other Sailor Scouts. "Scouts, Russell's in danger. Come to the 10th street district and come transformed, we have a new enemy on our hands," she says. She puts her communicator up and pulls out her transformation pen. "Mars Power!" After transforming, Sailor Mars decides to stand back from the battle and see how well her brother can do. 'I might as well wait for the others to come,' she thinks to herself, 'If Deanna is powerful enough to defeat Tuxedo Inferno not once, but twice, then I have little choice but to wait for the others.' Tuxedo Inferno immediately draws his sword and charges at Deanna. 'She's one hell of a fighter, I'll give her that much, but I'm going to have to move faster, and fight smarter,' he says to himself, conjuring up some energy. Deanna only stands in front of her sedan, watching as Tuxedo Inferno charges at her, full speed. 'Fool,' she thinks to herself, 'That attack failed last time you tried it against me. What makes you think it'll work this time?' As Tuxedo Inferno swings his sword at her, she holds her palm out, stopping him dead in his track and completely binding him. "That pitiful charge won't work, just as it didn't the last time," she says. Hey eyes glow again as she sends Tuxedo Inferno back onto the building she had sent him into. She begins walking towards him as he gets up rather quickly from her rather weak telekinetic push. "I know you can do better than that," she says, "I know you have the brains to think of another way to fight me." As Deanna walks closer and closer to him, Tuxedo Inferno stands, his weapon ready, awaiting her next attack. When she gets close enough, Tuxedo Inferno swings his sword to his side and clinches his empty fist. "Inferno Hands..." he yells as his hands ignite rather quickly, "...of Fire!" He thrusts his burning hand at Deanna, striking her dead in the chest. Deanna grunts in pain as she flies into the door of her car from the force of Tuxedo Inferno's blast. Almost as fast as Tuxedo Inferno recovered from her attack, Deanna recovers from his. "I knew you had some other tricks than just aggressiveness," she says as her eyes begin to glow blue again, 'but unfortunately, this challenge has only begun. I too have powers I haven't shown you yet." She slowly waves her hands in a kung fu fashion, "I know various attacks against the body..." Then, a glowing blue pendulum appears in her hand. She begins swinging the pendulum, letting her psychic powers take over from there, "...and the mind." Tuxedo Inferno focuses his attention on the rather tempting swinging of Deanna's illusionary pendulum. It's affects make give him a dizzy feeling, only to be interrupted by an all too familiar voice. "Hold it right there!" Tuxedo Inferno falls to his knees as Deanna's eyes return to normal and her pendulum disappears. She turns in the direction of the voice to see the very characters who brought on this little competition in the first place. "How dare you attack my friend for no reason," Sailor Moon says striking her all too popular poses, "You're nothing but a big bully attacking people as civilians with your gift of power. I am Sailor Moon, champion of love and justice. In the name of the Moon, I will right wrongs and triumph over evil, and that means you." "Evil?" Deanna says, "I know no such thing, nor possess it." "Liar," Sailor Moon yells, "what you're doing to Tuxedo Inferno, fighting against a protector of good is plenty evil enough." "Sailor Moon," says Sailor Mercury says, with her visor donned and her minicomputer out, typing away at it, "Be very careful. She possess powerful energy, rivaled only by us and our previous enemies." "Of course she has all that power," Sailor Moon agrees, "Any survivor of the Negaverse would possess that kind of power." "I was never interested in the Negaverse, even though their powers rivaled yours and mine," says Deanna. "Sailor Moon, I doubt she's of the Negaverse," says Sailor Mars, "I sense no negative force in her." "I don't pick up any negative forces from within her either," Sailor Mercury adds, still scanning Deanna. "It doesn't matter if she's a Nega-Creep or not," says Sailor Jupiter, "The fact that she attacks Tuxedo Inferno is enough to make her my enemy." "And attacking a loving young man with great beauty in him and a great heart makes this goddess of love angry," Sailor Venus adds. "Whoever you are, you attack those who are good at heart. We will punish those who disturb the good of the people," says Sailor Moon as the rest of the Scouts strike their battle poses. "Good, now I have more competition to test my powers against," says Deanna, "this will indeed fulfill much." Tuxedo Inferno gets up from Deanna's attempted hypnotizing and turns to the Sailor Scouts, "Please, Sailor Moon, this battle is between her and I alone." "We can't just stand here and let you fight alone," says Sailor Moon, "You've come to our aid on many occasions. We know you're in danger and are here to return the favor." "She's a psychic, Sailor Moon," Tuxedo Inferno pleads, "She's already beaten me twice in battle." "We know she has," Sailor Moon responds. Sailor Mercury finishes scanning their opponent, "He's right, Sailor Moon. She does possess psychic powers, and highly advanced at that. The psychic powers she possesses are more powerful than any I have ever seen." "Then we'll just have to strike first," Sailor Mars says, stepping up to bat. "Deanna, you're gonna pay dearly for what you've done to my friend. You've not only attacked him and beaten him twice, but you've also damaged the person he truly is. I certainly won't forgive you." "So you've decided to challenge me," says Deanna, "We'll see just how powerful you are." Sailor Mars pulls out one of her anti-evil scrolls, "Oh you'll see alright," she says as she tosses it in the air, "Mars Firebird, Strike!" She ignites the scroll into flames, transforming it into a bird of fire. It dives at full speed towards Deanna, who looks right at it without so much as a flinch. "Your bird is but an animal," says Deanna, "And like any animal, it can be tamed..." Deanna says as her eyes glow bright blue, "... and trained to fight against you." She throws her palm out right before the bird hits its mark, stopping it in mid air. Deanna's attention diverts as she catches Sailor Venus coming in from the side with her peripheral vision and turns to her. "You were going to try and take me from the side, weren't you," says Deanna. "You bet I was going to," Sailor Venus responds as she throws her pointer finger in the air. Deanna quickly responds by waving her arm in Sailor Venus' direction, sending the bird flying at her with great speed. "Venus Meteor... AAAAAAAGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!" Sailor Venus yells as the bird pierces through her chest sending her flying through the air and through a nearby window. The bird leaves her sailor suit scorched on both sides, yet no wound where it struck. Sailor Venus falls unconscious. Sailor Jupiter feels a burning sensation within as she tenses up her fists, watching her friend take the blow from Sailor Mars' attack. "You think your mind is any match for my muscle," Sailor Jupiter says as she steps forward in aggression. Deanna turns back to Sailor Jupiter. "I don't think," she says. Her eyes glow bright blue as she extends her left hand forward. As Deanna extends her arm, Sailor Jupiter feels a force grabbing a hold of her, binding the joints on her body. Sailor Jupiter grunts, trying her best to resist Deanna's psychic powers. "I know," Deanna says as she lifts her arm, lifting Sailor Jupiter about 30 feet off the ground at the same time. She waves her arm to the right, sending Sailor Jupiter flying into a building with great force, drawing blood from her lower lip. Sailor Jupiter grunts as the telekinetic force pushes her against the concrete wall, keeping her from falling to the ground. Deanna then waves her arm in the other direction, sending Sailor Jupiter into another building. She then waves her arm again, sending her opponent flying into the other building. The impact is so great, that Sailor Jupiter coughs up blood and sends it running down her chin. Deanna continues sending her opponent smashing between buildings about 9 more times before holding Sailor Jupiter's limp, bloodstained body in mid-air. Sailor Jupiter coughs again, sending more blood flowing down her cheek and dripping to the pavement far below. "Bye bye," Deanna says as she waves her arm forward, sending Sailor Jupiter on a ride down the street and landing with such force, that it knocks her unconscious and leaves a small puddle of blood underneath her. Sailor Mars watches as her friend's bloodstained body flies some distance down the street and quite a ways from where they stand. Sailor Mars feels the power of fire burning in her with fury as she turns back towards Deanna. Deanna only stands and glares at the Scouts, without so much as a smile on her face. Sailor Mars dashes toward her with great speed fed by a major adrenaline rush. "You bitch!" she screams with rage as she ignites her hands in flames and throws a fiery punch at Deanna, putting behind it every bit of energy from her rage. Deanna teleports right before Sailor Mars' flaming fist hits its target, reappearing right behind Sailor Mars. The inertia from Sailor Mars' furious attack sends her flying into the pavement. Sailor Moon and Mercury look on in shock, watching as Deanna easily dodges Sailor Mars' attack. Tuxedo Inferno's even more surprised that a girl like Deanna knows teleportation as well as the rest of her psychic abilities. Teleportation is something that even he doesn't possess, and something that takes all 5 Sailor Scouts to accomplish. "She teleports too?!" Sailor Moon says overwhelmingly, "Tuxedo Inferno, how come you never told us she can teleport? And even after your last 2 battles with her?" "Uh, Sailor Moon," Tuxedo Inferno says, still rather shocked at Deanna's last action, "I didn't even know she could teleport. And how do you know about my last 2 battles?" "Let's just say a little birdie told us," she slowly answers. Sailor Mars staggers to her feet after sending herself to the ground with a fiery punch into empty air. Deanna focuses on her as her eyes glow bright blue. "Psychic Beam," she says as she throws her arms in front of her. Her hands glow the same bright blue as they fire a beam of energy at Sailor Mars. Sailor Mars turns her head to Deanna just as the beam hits her in the side, sending her into a parked truck and knocking her unconscious. The scouts look on, still in shock at how she dodged Sailor Mars and how quickly she counterattacked. "She's much tougher than we thought," Sailor Moon says. "I told you she was a tough opponent," says Tuxedo Inferno, "She's a psychic. She's nullified my attacks and she can nullify yours." Sailor Mercury retracts her visor and puts her computer up and steps up to bat, "Physical attacks have been either rendered useless against her or turned against us. She can telepathically manipulate matter and energy. We're going to have to use our heads to defeat her." Deanna turns around and sees Sailor Mercury striking a battle pose and looking at her directly in the eyes. "Your mind is like mine, analytical, strategic, dedicated," says Deanna, "But unfortunately yours is inferior to mine, for it doesn't possess the psychic abilities that mine does." 'She insults my own academic achievement?!' Sailor Mercury thinks to herself. "Just because I'm not a psychic, doesn't mean you're any smarter than me," she says. "I never said I was smarter than you," Deanna rebuts, "I just said that your mind was inferior to mine." "We'll see whose mind is inferior," Sailor Mercury says as she advances toward Deanna. "Mercury Bubbles... BLAST!!!" She sends her bubbles throughout the battlefield, covering it in a thick mist. The mist gets thick to the point that neither Deanna nor Sailor Mercury and the others can see. Sailor Mercury presses her right earring to don her visor. She scans the mist-shrouded battlefield for Deanna and finds that she has teleported again. She scans the entire area and finds no sign of Deanna. "'Unlike the rest of you, I don't need my eyes to fight," Deanna's voice echoes in Sailor Mercury's mind. Suddenly, Deanna appears in front her from out of nowhere. Just as she is about to jump out of the way, an unusual telekinetic force sends her flying back. At the same time, the same telekinetic pushes the mist from around Deanna and the rest of the standing scouts, sending it further down the streets. "She must be very aware of her surroundings," Sailor Mercury assumes, "She knew where I was before I started scanning for her." "Whenever she and I would meet for study sessions, she always knew I was coming without even looking at me or listening for me," Tuxedo Inferno explains, "She knows when and what people are around her and can figure things out about them. She's very intuitive, but not a 100% mind reader." "He's right," Deanna confirms, "That's how I knew he was Tuxedo Inferno. And I also know who you really are... Amy Anderson." Sailor Mercury and Sailor Moon both look in shock, gasping at the fact that Deanna knows Sailor Mercury's true identity. "I know you're the Amy he so loves with all his heart and has mentioned on a couple occasions. I also know that Sailor Mars is his younger sister Raye." 'I hope she doesn't blurt who we really are out to the public," Sailor Moon thinks to herself. "I would never tell the public who Sailor Moon, Tuxedo Inferno, the Moonlight Knight, and the Sailor Scouts are," says Deanna. After hearing Deanna's response to her thought, Sailor Moon turns to Tuxedo Inferno, "Not a 100% mind reader, huh?" "She can sometimes sense your thoughts, but not always," Tuxedo Inferno explains. Sailor Mercury gets back to her feet and tries again to catch Deanna. "Enough of this child's play," Deanna says to herself as her eyes glow blue. Sailor Mercury feels a force grab a hold of her and lift her off the ground. Deanna brings Sailor Mercury over to her, binding her in the process. "I will prove your mind's true inferiority," Deanna says. Sailor Mercury, bound to the pavement by Deanna's telekinetic powers, watches helplessly as a ripple-like wave emanates from Deanna. Suddenly, a headache begins to overtake her. She closes her eyes and concentrates on something totally different. 'She's trying to attack my mind,' she thinks to herself, 'Maybe I can try and resist her.' She clears her mind and tries to concentrate on playing a chess game, a game she is rather good at. She imagines herself as white and Deanna as black. She concentrates of defending herself while at the same time fighting Deanna's psychic wave. Just as Sailor Mercury appears to be winning in her mind, the black pieces instantly put her king in check. At the same time, the headache grows so large, that all thought process is impeded. Sailor Mercury looses track of the battle, her concentration, forgets where she is, and even that she's dressed as Sailor Mercury. Deanna lets go of her telekinetic grip as Sailor Mercury falls to the pavement. She gets up and staggers around as if she's gotten drunk off Tequila. Tuxedo Inferno runs up to her and catches her again in his arms. "Sailor Mercury, snap out of it," he pleads as she slaps her multiple times to bring her out of whatever Deanna put her under. "Huh?" she asks, "Who's Sailor Mercury?" "Dammit, don't tell me she erased your memory," Tuxedo Inferno swears. "Where am I?" Sailor Mercury asks. "I didn't erase her memory," Deanna says, answering Tuxedo Inferno's assumption, "I seem to have only confused her. She's been rendered ineffective. But worry not, she'll be back to normal in an hour or so." She throws her arms in front of her as her eyes glow blue again, "Psychic Beam." She sends a powerful beam of energy at the couple, separating them and sending them into cars and buildings. Tuxedo Inferno lies somewhat dazed, but conscious, while Sailor Mercury is totally knocked out from both the mind attack and the telekinetic attack. Now, only Sailor Moon remains standing. She stands in complete awe, staring blankly in Deanna's direction. The fact that this psychic enemy easily overcame her friends makes her wonder where Deanna got this kind of power. "Well, Sailor Moon, are you going to fight me, or are you going to cower and whine like Serena Tsukino?" Deanna impatiently asks. Sailor Moon only stands and stares, even more in awe that Deanna knows about her as Serena and her whiney nature. Her heart begins palpitating faster and faster as she watches Deanna's eyes beginning glimmer. The heat rushes through her veins as total fear overcomes her body, immobilizing every muscle in her body. Deanna feels this rush of fear from Sailor Moon. "So the legendary Sailor Moon is nothing but a coward, who turns back at the first sign of trouble," she deduces. Tuxedo Inferno gets back to his feet and steps forward, prepared to defend Sailor Moon at all costs, 'She may be the only one left, but I'm here to assist and protect the Sailor Scouts. As long as even one of them is here, so am I.' He draws his sword and takes another aggressive step forward, "I know Sailor Moon, and she is hardly a coward," he says, "I won't let you lay a finger, or your mind on her." Deanna glares at Tuxedo Inferno, with her eyes glowing bright blue, sending him flying with great acceleration and force. He flies onto a nearby car, dropping his sword in the process, and taking him out of the fight temporarily. "I've defeated you twice already," Deanna says, "This is between me and Sailor Moon." She looks back at Sailor Moon, who still looks on in awe. "Are you just going to stand there and stare at me while fear rushes through your veins, or are you going to overcome that fear and fight me?" she impetuously asks. Sailor Moon only stands and stares into blank space. It's as if she's totally spaced out. "I know you're the strongest of the five Sailor Scouts," says Deanna, giving her credit, "I have yet to see your abilities at their fullest." Sailor Moon finally snaps out of it at the sound of her opponent praising her abilities and powers. She lowers her eyebrows as that fear begins to fuel her energy, adrenaline completely taking over her. "If you want to fight me, Deanna, then I'll give you a fight," she says, "I won't forgive you for hurting my friends." She removes her tiara and charges her adrenaline powered arm, "Moon Tiara Magic!!!" She throws the tiara at Deanna with great speed. Deanna watches on as the tiara begins flying toward her. 'So, she does have some fight in her,' she thinks to herself. She teleports just as the tiara comes within inches of her. Deanna reappears somewhat of a short distance behind Sailor Moon, with her eyes glowing bright blue. Sailor Moon feels weightlessness overcome her as she begins levitating above the street. '"Your mind is weak, Sailor Moon," Deanna says telepathically, '"But I have yet to see your full powers."' Deanna pulls her arm back, getting ready to eliminate Sailor Moon. Before she waves her arm, a piercing sensation strikes her arm and rushes up her arm, while at the same time Sailor Moon drops to the ground. She winces and grunts as pain overtakes her for a split second. She examines her arm to find a white rose stuck in it and blood seeping down her arm from the wound. "Roses as a weapon," she says as she pulls the rose out of her arm. Blood continues to steadily trickle down her arm, while at the same time the stinging pain pulsates. "Only one person I know uses roses," she says. She looks in the direction she thinks the rose originated and finds a man clad in a white robe and turban standing on top of a shorter building. "So, the Moonlight Knight has finally arrived," she says. "Indeed. From the serene Arabian night, with the moon glistening in the oasis, I am the Moonlight Knight," says the Moonlight Knight, staring at Deanna with another white rose in his right hand and up to his nose. "I hear you possess a prowess that has become popular with Japan's population," says Deanna, "You are indeed a worthy opponent." "The mind is such a beautiful blessing, capable of such beautiful dreams for it to be used as a weapon of pain and destruction," the Moonlight Knight says as he tosses the rose in front of Deanna and jumps down to the street. He draws his sword and prepares for battle against his psychic opponent. 'What is this I feel in him?' Deanna asks herself, 'I feel something different in him, as if he's not completely there. It seems like something more subconscious.' The Moonlight Knight raises his sword and rushes her. 'But nonetheless...' she thinks to herself as she raises her hand and freezes the sword's motion just mere inches from her hand, 'He is just like the others and can be overcome by my psychic powers.' She pushes the Moonlight Knight back and grabs a hold of him with her telekinetic powers. 'He seems a little more difficult to control than the others,' she says to herself, 'It's almost as if I'm trying to move air.' Confident that she has the Moonlight Knight in her grasp and levitating above the street, she spins him around a little. Sailor Moon grabs her scepter begins twirling it, charging up to attack Deanna while she's busy toying with the Moonlight Knight. Deanna catches her out of the corner of her eye and sends the Moonlight Knight flying towards her. The Moonlight Knight knocks her over, knocking the scepter out of her hand as well. Sailor Moon gets back up moments later and begins crawling toward her scepter. Before she could reach it, an outside force grabs a hold of her, keeping her just over arms distance from her scepter. Deanna teleports right in front of her. "Why are you doing this to us?" Sailor Moon asks, "We never did anything to you." "Your powers compete with my own," says Deanna, "Ever since I first heard of the Sailor Scouts, better yet, when I first heard of Sailor Moon appearing, I knew she was a character with intriguing power. I was already skilled in my psychic powers at the time you first showed up, but I decided to practice harder and strengthen my own mind. After a little practice, I was ready to test my powers against you. It's fortunate that I transferred to the same school that both Tuxedo Inferno and the Moonlight Knight attended. I knew they would lead me to you. What interested me in Tuxedo Inferno was the fact that his powers compete with mine more than the rest of you, and that he has more potential than the others." "So you do this purely for competition, and to test your powers against someone with equal strength?" Sailor Moon asks. "Indeed," Deanna replies, "Tuxedo Inferno isn't the only one I will fight. I can fight any one of you or all of you at any time. But I will not attack you in school since we're all expanding our academics." "You are so utterly evil," says Sailor Moon. "Like I said," says Deanna as she lifts her arms, lifting Sailor Moon in the process, "I feel no evil and possess no evil." She throws Sailor Moon high into the air, then slams her into the ground with great force, knocking her unconscious. The Moonlight Knight, having recovered from his trip, rushes Deanna. "We'll meet again," Deanna says as she teleports away, and out of sight. The Moonlight Knight stops just as she teleports away and throws his sword down, "Damn, she is tougher than anyone I've ever had to save Sailor Moon from." He looks at Sailor Moon's unconscious body lying on the pavement. "Please forgive me, Princess," he says to her, "I failed in my duty to protect you. For even the wondrous power the mind has it's nightmares. I hope your heart is pure and forgiving like I've always known it is. Farewell, Princess." The Moonlight Knight retrieves his sword, turns, and walks down the street, and away from the battle zone. Tuxedo Inferno comes back to his feet and looks around the battlefield. She finds that Deanna has left the battlefield and decides to check on the other scouts. He walks over to the shattered window where Sailor Venus flew through. He finds her sailor suit scorched, but no sign of a wound. She slowly comes to, struggling to get to her feet. Tuxedo Inferno grabs her hand and helps her to her feet, "You alright, Sailor Venus?" "I've felt better," she replies, rubbing the area on her chest where Sailor Mars' firebird struck her. "I don't think there's even a wound there," he says in response to Sailor Venus' rubbing of her chest. She looks around the street to see Sailor Mars lying next to a parked truck, Sailor Mercury lying beside a building, and Sailor Moon lying in the middle of the street. "Deanna did all this I take it," she assumes. Tuxedo Inferno only sadly nods in response. "Where's Sailor Jupiter?" she asks, seeing that only Sailor Jupiter is missing out of the 5. Sailor Mars comes to her feet moments later and staggers toward the two. Tuxedo Inferno catches her in his arms and helps to keep her on her feet. "You okay, Sailor Mars?" Sailor Venus asks. "Yeah," she mutters, "Deanna is one hell of a tough fighter." "What happened to Sailor Jupiter?" Sailor Venus asks again, beginning to worry about her friend. "She took the worst of Deanna's psychic attack," Sailor Mars replies, "and she took Sailor Jupiter out right after she took you out. Deanna sent her flying down the street after the attack. I was the next to go down. I don't know anything after that." "After Sailor Mars went down, Sailor Mercury took a mind attack before being knocked out. She might still be feeling the effects, then it was just Sailor Moon before I took a hit," Tuxedo Inferno finishes. Tuxedo Inferno walks over to Sailor Mercury and picks her unconscious body up. He carries her over to Sailor Moon, where the others are standing. Sailor Moon recovers moments later, pressing her hand on the side of her head and staggering about, "Oh man, do I have such a headache." "Well, with everyone up now, let's go check on Sailor Jupiter," Sailor Mars suggests. "Right," the conscious Scouts and Tuxedo Inferno reply. They begin walking down the street towards where Sailor Jupiter's bloody body lies. As they near where she lies, they catch a glimpse of her and begin running in that direction. They get close enough to her to see just how badly Deanna beat her. They see that much of her sailor suit is bloodstained and that she's lying in a puddle of blood. "SAILOR JUPITER," they cry out as they run to her. Sailor Venus walks up to her and cradles her blood saturated body in her arms. "Oh no, Sailor Jupiter," she gasps, noticing the blood covering most of her cheeks where it flowed from her mouth. "Dammit, Sailor Jupiter, don't you die on me," she swears, with tears beginning to stream from her eyes as she begins shuddering and sobbing. She buries her face in Sailor Jupiter's chest, crying into it. "She must've taken a good beating from Deanna," says Sailor Moon, "That is some powerful telekinetic powers she possesses." Sailor Mars takes her hand and puts it up to Sailor Jupiter's jugular. "She has a pulse, but it's very faint," she says, "But she's not going to last much longer. She's lost so much blood." "Then perhaps we can still save her," says Tuxedo Inferno. He sets Sailor Mercury down next to Sailor Moon and walks over to Sailor Venus and Sailor Jupiter. "Let me try to save her," he says. Sailor Venus sets Sailor Jupiter back onto the pavement, away from the puddle of blood. Tuxedo Inferno winces when he sees how much of her blood has stained Sailor Venus' sailor suit and on her face. He hasn't even seen that much blood on the scrubs of ER doctors. He turns back to Sailor Jupiter and lies his hand on her bloodstained chest. He closes his eyes and prays, "Oh power of fire, please grant me the power to heal my beloved friend here." He gathers the strength from within him and focuses on Sailor Jupiter, "Inferno Phoenix..." A fiery bird appears in the sky and descends toward where Sailor Jupiter lies, "Revive!" The phoenix then transforms into pure fire and continues descending. The flames finally reach Sailor Jupiter as Tuxedo Inferno removes his hand from her chest. The flames surround Sailor Jupiter's body and begin absorbing into her. For an instant, her body becomes fire as it heals her internal and external wounds and restores some of her energy. The flames disappear, revealing Sailor Jupiter's bloodstained body. Any signs of wounds are all but gone now. After spending all that energy, Tuxedo Inferno falls to is knees. Suddenly, Tuxedo Inferno's body glows bright orange as flames surround his body. The light dims and the flames extinguish as Tuxedo Inferno loses his powers and transforms back into Russell. "I hope she's okay now," says Sailor Mars as she and the other scouts watch on. "Ummmmmmm...hmmmmmmm..." Sailor Jupiter grunts as she slowly squirms, trying to get some motion back. She then slowly opens her eyes to see all her friends, except Sailor Mercury, watching over her. "Damn, I don't feel so good," she murmurs, trying to get up. "Oh Sailor Jupiter," Sailor Venus gasps, weeping as she throws her arms around Sailor Jupiter. Sailor Jupiter gladly returns her embrace, letting her know she's okay now. Sailor Jupiter lets go to see just how much blood transferred from her body to Sailor Venus'. "Damn, I lost that much blood?" she says, shocked. Suddenly, the world around her begins to spin as the after effects of the attack set in, prompting her to wobble. "Sailor Jupiter, save your strength," says Russell, grabbing a hold of her bloodstained body before it hits the pavement, staining his clothes in the process. "You took a wild beating. I'd take it easy for a while," he says, putting it mildly. "Deanna's really gonna get it if she crosses my path again," she says, showing the anger in her face after shaking the dizziness off. Russell helps her to her feet as Sailor Mercury slowly comes to, still with a drunken feeling. Sailor Mars tosses one of Sailor Mercury's arms over her shoulders and helps her stand. "Let's head to Lita's," says Sailor Moon, "We've got a lot of things to discuss." The scouts all head toward Lita's apartment, with many disturbing thoughts of both the battle and their new enemy dominating their minds. Lita's apartment... The door opens as the Scouts, in their civilian forms, and Russell let themselves inside. Amy lumbers over to the couch, still feeling the effects, nearly falling onto the coffee table. Russell runs over to her, ready to catch her just as she falls onto the couch. "Amy, sweetheart, just lie down for a while, okay?" Russell pleads, taking her hand into his. "I'm fine, really," Amy mumbles, yanking her hand away from his, "I'm not drunk, I'm just all fuzzy." Amy gets up and begins prancing about the room like a little sugarplum fairy, flapping her arms about and giggling in the process. "WOOOOO, this is so fun, I feel so absurdly mad," she says, too giddy for her own good. She runs into the arm of one of the couches and falls over onto it. She looks up a minute later, with a rather fatigued look on her face. "Where am I?" she muddles. "Uh, Amy," Serena says, rolling her eyes back, "You're at Lita's apartment." "Lita? Who's Lita," she mumbles, looking around the room. "Amy, sweetheart, you're scaring me," Russell says, slowly backing away from her. "She's scaring me too," Raye, holding Lita's limp body and helping her onto the other couch. "Whatever Deanna did to her really messed her up," says Serena. "She tried that on me, but it had a totally different effect," says Russell, walking over to Lita, "You okay, Lita?" "I've felt better," she replies, lying down on the couch. "She needs rest Russell," says Raye, holding Russell's arms and holding him back, "She'll be fine. Don't worry." "I'm glad Lita's alright," says Mina, sitting down on the arm of the couch by Lita's feet, "but it's Amy I'm now worried about. What did Deanna do to her, Russell?" "Yeah, tell us about Deanna," Raye adds. Russell opens his mouth to speak, when a scratch at the door stops him before he can even mutter a word out. "Hey, that's Luna," Serena says, walking over to the door, "I called her over after the battle." She unlatches the door and opens it, letting the light-footed crescent moon headed cat inside. Luna hops onto the couch near Amy while Serena closes the door and takes her seat by Mina. "So Russell, tell us everything you know," she says. Russell sits on the coffee table and relaxes before spilling his guts. "Well, the attack she used on Amy is a mind-effecting attack," he explains, "When I took it from her, it made me dizzy and knocked me unconscious. Looks like it made Amy totally dumb, drunk, and giddy all at the same time." "But what about Deanna herself?" Lita asks. "Yeah, like who is she?" Serena adds. "And how come you never told us about her," Raye adds, glaring at him, "and that you fought her." "Well..." Russell tries to explain. "Twice," Raye interrupts. Russell opens his mouth again to speak, but is cut off again. "...and lost both times," Raye interrogates. "Give him room to speak," Luna snaps, "He's gone through more in his past 3 battles than all 5 of you put together. Listen to him." "Uuuuuhhhhhh...," Amy grunts as she slowly gets up, holding her temple as a slight headache grabs a hold of her, "That didn't feel so good," she says. "Amy, is that you?" Serena asks, walking over to her and taking one of her hands into hers, "Are you yourself again?" "I... think so," she answers, uncertain of herself. "Quick, what's the square root of the of 13 squared times the quantity of x squared plus 9?" Serena asks. The other girls look on in total shock. "How does she know how to state such advanced math. She can't even get out of basic mathematics, let alone pre-algebra," Raye comments. "That would be 13x2+117," Amy answers confidently. "That's our Amy alright," says Serena as she takes her seat next to Amy. "Can you think straight, Amy?" Luna asks. "I think I can stand through this scout meeting," Amy replies, "Go ahead Russell." "So, how do you know Deanna?" Raye asks Russell suspiciously. "Well, she attends Azabu Tech with me and Darien," Russell explains. All the girls pull back, gulping in air in the process. "She goes to the same school as you?!" they all say astonishingly. "Yes, she's studying Physics after transferring from Osaka University, where she studied Biology and Psychology," Russell explains. "What's she majoring in if she has more science classes than even you or I do?" Amy asks. "She's changed her major twice, but is now studying Physics," Russell answers, "But I think she's trying to double-major, or get a lot of these science classes under her belt. She might be minoring in Anthropology or Philosophy as well." "She sounds like a pretty smart girl," says Mina. "Well, let's see," Russell says as he conjures up a list, "she was a member of the Japanese Honors Society, on the superintendent's honor roll, was Who's Who Among Japanese High School Students for all 4 years, class president her junior and senior years, Japanese Scholar, and the class Valedictorian." Amy looks on in shock at how much Deanna achieved in high school, "She's one smart girl." Raye also looks on in shock, her mouth hanging open and her eyes open wide. "Tell me about it," she agrees, "Russell, she's achieved even more than you did in high school." Russell only shows a somewhat long face at that, but then continues on explaining, "She may have done more than I have, but she doesn't have the athletic capabilities that I do nor athletic achievements and trophies that I do." "Strong in the mind, but not so strong physically, huh?" Lita confirms. "I wouldn't know, I've never gone against her physically," says Russell, "But she is powerful with her mind. Amy, you must've scanned something in her." "All I saw was a powerful psychic power force emanating from her, like one I've never seen from even the Negaverse," says Amy. "On top of the use of her mind as a weapon, she also possesses advanced ESP, more advanced than mine, Raye's, or even Greg's," Russell explains. "That explains how she knew I was Sailor Mercury, and that I was the very Amy that Russell is involved with," says Amy. "And how I was Sailor Moon," Serena adds. "And how my sister was Sailor Mars," says Russell. "No matter what powers she possesses," Lita says, sitting up rather quickly, "she's gonna pay for what she did to not only me, but Russell and everyone else." Suddenly, dizziness overcomes her, prompting her to fall back onto the couch. "Careful, Lita," Mina says, leaning over and taking Lita's hand into hers. "Luna, do you know anything of this Deanna?" Serena asks. "I honestly have never heard of Deanna," Luna asks, "Not from the Silver Millennium, and not from the Negaverse." "What about the cardians we've fought, could she have been sent by Ann and Alan?" Mina asks. "I don't think she's one of them, with an extensive and meritorious history such as that," Amy replies. "I agree," says Luna, "Ann and Alan aren't that good, creating a cardian like Deanna." "Then that leaves the Negaverse," says Serena, "She possesses powers like they did. With that kind of power, she could take on the Generals herself, and Titanius." "I don't know, Titanius was pretty powerful," says Russell, "But Deanna is a tough opponent, tougher than even Titanius was." "I saw no negative energy in her when I scanned her," says Amy. "And I didn't sense any in her either," Raye adds, "not even any feelings towards Russell." "That's it," Russell points out, catching that last comment, "She has no feelings against me, no feelings period." "You mean she's doing this for no reason other than thrills?" Mina asks. "No, I mean she has no emotion," Russell restates, "She feels nothing, no happiness, no anger, no thrills, no hatred, not even love and compassion. She never smiles, never blushes, never cries, never even laughs." "No emotion what so ever," Serena repeats, "So she doesn't know what love is. And that's why she said she feels no evil and possesses no evil." "She is always on task, and rarely diverts from it. She feels that emotion just gets in the way of things and could live without it," says Russell. "Was she always like that, born without emotion?" Raye asks. "Actually, she told me, before she first attacked me, that she became so devoted to her psychic powers and academics that she lost her emotions," says Russell. "You mean she killed them," Lita argues, "What she did to us was totally ruthless and heartless." "Exactly, she has no emotion, which makes her totally fearless and without a guilty conscience," Russell agrees, "I hardly think she intended to kill her emotions, but she seems to have adapted to it." "So it looks like we have another new enemy on our hands," says Serena, "These things will never end." "I would keep your eyes open and on the lookout for Deanna," says Luna. "I agree," says Russell, "She may not do this a lot and may be doing this for competition, to prove her powers match, even outdo ours, but she'll attack at any time." "Then we have to keep on constant guard," says Mina. "I wouldn't worry about her attacking during school, though, " says Russell, "She won't attack even me in school, or on the campus. She sees it unfair to attack me psychically on campus and deny academic competition. She believes that she'll beat me academically at Azabu." "Well, whether she's from the Negaverse, a cardian, or even a completely new enemy, she's still a threat and not a force to be reckoned with," says Luna, "This meeting is over. Do be careful, Scouts." Mina gives Lita a friendly hug as the others walk towards the door to leave, "You take it easy, alright Lita?" "You know me, Mina," says Lita, being sarcastic, yet respectful of her friend's concern, "Stubborn as a mule and never lets a little dizziness get in her way." "You just stay here and get some rest. You'll be back to full strength in no time," Mina says as she walks out the front door with Serena, Raye, and Amy. Russell walks toward the door, with a somewhat saddened look on his face as if something had really hit him hard. "Russell," Luna says, running up to him and hopping into his partially bloodied arms, "You fought well against Deanna and endured so much. She's a tough opponent, and I credit you for your efforts against her." "Yeah, I did good alright," Russell says pessimistically, dropping Luna back to her feet. "Damn, this was my good white shirt too," he says, a little upset at the fact that he bloodied a good outfit, "but a little bleach will get it out." "Russell, it's okay, you'll beat her," Luna says, trying to invoke a bit of optimism, "You'll get your chance again to beat her, plus the Sailor Scouts are all behind you now." "Thanks, Luna," Russell says gloomily, barely cracking a smile as he walks out the door, "Bye Lita, get well." "I will Russell," Lita replies, "Cheer up, you get your new car tomorrow." Russell turns back to Lita and smiles, "That's right, I get my new car tomorrow. Thanks Lita." He walks out the door, a little more in a better mood now. Next Day, Tokyo International Airport... Russell, Darien, Gabianni, and Raye stand on the tarmac, after being allowed to proceed since Russell's picking up his cargo, watching on as a cargo plane approaches them. The ground crew tells them to get back while the plane taxies onto the tarmac. They watch on as the modified cargo plane pulls up to it's parking spot. Feelings of anxiety overcome Russell, knowing that his car is finally here. 'My long time of waiting, choosing, and waiting for this plane will finally pay off,' he thinks to himself, almost jumping up and down for joy. Moments later, the plane parks and the engines wind down as a truck pulls up to the back of the plane. The clamshell doors in the back open and a ramp lowers. After the engines finish winding down, the truck pulls up the ramp as ground crew members latch a tow bar onto one of the cargo containers. He signals the truck driver, telling him to go. The truck driver responds by pulling the cargo container out of the plane. Russell looks at his sheet at his cargo claim. He then looks at the cargo container's number to see if it matches. "Shit, I want my car now," Russell swears when he sees that the container number and claim number don't match. "Relax, Russell," says Gabianni, holding Russell's shoulder down to keep him from jumping, "It'll be here, it's on that plane." "Yeah Russell," Raye adds. Russell watches as the truck backs up again onto the plane's ramp. "Oh God, I hope this is the one, I hope this is the one," he says excitedly. He watches as the second cargo container emerges from the back of the plane. He quickly checks the claim number, then the container number. A major adrenaline rush takes him as he jumps up and down and almost runs toward the cargo container. "That's it, that's it," he says ecstatically, "My car's in there." The crewman in the truck brings the container to near where Russell and the others stand. Another crewman unlatches the tow bar and hops onto the truck to retrieve another container. Another man walks up to Russell, "Can I see your claim sheet please?" Russell gladly hands the man his claim sheet to prove that that's the cargo container his car is sitting in. He never showed Raye or the others the claim since the specific cargo is printed on there, and he wants to keep the type of car he got a surprise. "Sir, please sign here," the man says, handing Russell the paper. Russell grabs a pen and quickly jots his John Hancock before handing it back to the man. "It's a great car, sir. Enjoy the ride," he says as he walks over to the container to unlock it. Russell swings the doors open, showing nothing but darkness. "Uh, Russell, where's the car?" Gabianni asks. "You were gypped," says Raye. "I don't see a car in there," says Darien. "Relax, it's toward the back of the container," says Russell as he walks inside. Inside the container, he gently caresses the smooth, curvy hood of the car, noting the very perfection of its finish. "United at last, my beauty," Russell says to the car. He continues running his hand along the metal of the car, and up the window frame to the roof. "Not one flat surface," Russell says, "completely smooth and well curved. No wonder this is a fast car." Russell makes it to the car's ducktail spoiler, noting the well-pointed edge. He then runs his hand along the spoiler, noting the slight arc along the back. "I fell for this car when I saw its exquisite design, its eye-turning finish, and it's raw muscle pushing it to amazing speeds," Russell says, as he drags his fingers along the curved side of the car, feeling only the slight gap between the door and the rest of the car. He makes it to the rear-view mirror on the driver's side (right side in Japan) door. "8 liter V-10, producing 450 horsepower," Russell says as he takes the key and opens the door, just enough that it touches the wall of the cargo container. "Unlike most cars of this type, this engine gets its power from old-style pushrods, 2 valves per cylinder, and no turbo," Russell says, slipping into the car and gripping the fine leather steering wheel. He runs his fingers along the headliner, noting it's fine texture. He then takes his key and slides it into the ignition switch. "Now, let's hear you purr," he says as he turns the key, bringing the smooth beast to life. Meanwhile, Gabianni, Darien, and Raye wait for Russell to show them his new car. "What's taking him so long?" Raye asks impatiently. "He'll be out," Darien answers. "Yeah, give those two time to bond," Gabianni adds, "You know how men and their cars are." "I see," says Raye, "I just hope he doesn't forget about Amy." After a few moments, a thunderous roar emanates from the cargo container as the car inside comes to life. "That engine sounds familiar," says Gabianni as it hits him, only for his hunch to be confirmed by an all too familiar set of headlights. "I know what kind of car that is," says Gabianni. They all watch on as a small purple car blasts out of the cargo container and towards the group. Raye and Darien jump back as the beast draws near them. They watch on, as it swings to a stop not more than 10 feet from them. The passenger-side window rolls down, revealing Russell's face. "Hey Darien, wanna take a spin in my new car?" he asks. "So you got a Dodge Viper, huh?" Darien asks. "I knew what kind it was when he started the engine," says Gabianni, "I've seen and heard Vipers before." "C'mon, Darien," Russell begs, "I wanted you to be the first to ride in this car with me since you're my best friend and all." "Okay, have at it," Darien says as he opens the door and hops in. "You might wanna buckle up," Russell says as he revs the engine up to near it's redline. Darien quickly gets the shoulder harnesses on. Just after Darien gets strapped in, Russell guns it, sending the American beast into a wild screeching start, sending tire smoke everywhere, before striking forward like it's namesake. Gabianni and Raye watch on as the Viper pulls away with such speed, it amazes Raye. "He sure knows how to choose his cars," Raye comments. "The Viper's a great car, though I would've gone with either a fast BMW or a Porsche," says Gabianni, "But Russell loves that car, and I like Vipers too." Raye watches as the distant car takes a wild turn, sending it swinging into a 180, with tire squeals being heard, before speeding back towards them. "He sure knows how to handle that car, just like he did his old Datsun," she comments. They watch on as the purple car rushes toward them, before swinging to a stop pretty close to where they're standing, startling Raye and causing her to jump back quite a distance. "Russell, you need to be more careful!!!" Raye yells as she flails her arms about. "Hey Gabianni, let's head home, shall we?" Russell suggests. "Sure, you lead the way," Gabianni says as he heads towards his car, while Raye sticks her tongue out at him and follows Gabianni to his car. Russell drives off the tarmac and toward the road, where he awaits Gabianni to follow him home. "Make sure you don't go too fast," says Darien, "You don't want to lose Gabianni with this fast car, do 'ya? "Oh I won't," Russell says mischievously as he awaits Gabianni. Later that day, at the Cherry Hill Temple... Russell walks out of the shower after cleaning the musty masculine odor from his body. Only a white towel conceals his naked body as he walks down the hall and into his room. As he enters his room, thoughts of the last battle roam in his mind, and not only that battle, but also his previous two. As he drops the towel and looks at his naked body, he thinks of how naked his thoughts and powers are to Deanna. The thinks of his inferiority to her, and not only in his powers, but seemingly in his academics too. And she's very intuitive too, and can sense some of his thoughts, which gives him the truly naked feeling. He feels that he can't hide much from her, just as he isn't hiding his bare skin right now. He walks over to his drawer and quickly pulls out a pair of boxers. He slides into them, covering what most men would never expose in public, unless they were drunk. After feeling the total agony of defeat, he begins thinking of how to beat her, how to beat such a fast, smart, and powerful opponent. As he gets the rest of clothes on, an Azabu Tech soccer T-shirt, and a pair of khaki slacks. He then walks out of his room, with a somewhat gloomy look on his face, as Deanna still remains fresh in his mind. And they would've been good friends too, even if Deanna says she could do without them. He finds it hard to believe that even a warrior as powerful as he, the Mars Prince, could fall to a psychic girl. He makes it into the living room and plops down on the couch. He is completely board, and very troubled by Deanna. The thoughts overcome even his happiness and excitement over finally getting his new Viper. Raye, dressed in her red and white temple kimono, walks in moments later to see the disturbed look on Russell's face. She has an idea that Deanna and his losses to her are on his mind, since that now she herself, along with the other scouts, faced her and lost to her. "Russell, you okay?" she asks. "A little," Russell says sorrowfully. This coy disguise doesn't fool Raye now. She definitely knows what bugging him. "Didn't you have a date with Amy tonight?" Raye asks, remembering something he obviously forgot. "Oh shit, that's right," Russell swears, jumping up out of the couch and grabbing the hair at the sides of his head, "I can't believe I forgot about Amy. She must be waiting in sorrow, wondering why I'm not there." Russell's heart rate doubles almost instantly as he goes into a panic. "Russell, relax," says Raye, trying to calm her brother down, "You don't pick her up for another hour." Russell lets out a sigh of relief, with sweatdrops hanging from his head, "Don't ever scare me like that again." He sits back down and tries to regain his composure while his heart rate slows back to normal. "Something is deeply wrong if you not only lost your excitement over your new car, but also forgot about a date you've been looking forward to," says Raye. "Yeah, you're right," Russell says, surrendering to his rather inquisitive sister. "This has been bugging me since I first fought Deanna," he begins to explain, having a tough time sharing it with her, "I don't know, I've never lost to someone this powerful. I've had my problems with Titanius in the past, but Deanna is different. She seems to not only outfight you, but know you as well. As powerful as I am, and I lost to her." He balls up his fists and slams them against the table. "She beat me, I can't believe she beat me," he yells, slamming his fists again, "TWICE!!!" Raye takes one of his fists into her hand, trying to calm him down. "Russell, I know you lost to her. The Fire revealed that someone had defeated you in battle," Raye explains. "Yes, but she's stronger, faster, and smarter than me," Russell argues, "She beat me." "She beat us all, Russell," Raye points out, "She made us look like fools in battle. We didn't even scratch her, yet she threw us around like rag dolls and made us look like the legendary Sailor Scrubs. Deanna is powerful." "Yeah," Russell adds, "Deanna's even tougher to beat than Titanius. She's the most powerful opponent I've ever faced in battle." "I agree with you, she is tougher than anyone we've ever fought from the Negaverse," says Raye. "That's just it," Russell points out, "She's not of the Negaverse, or any other out of our world enemy. She's just a normal college girl... with extraordinary abilities. That's what brings up these feelings." "She may have extraordinary abilities, but she isn't invincible," says Raye, "We'll figure out a way to beat her somehow, as we always have with every enemy we've fought." "Yeah, maybe we can beat her, unless Deanna's only scratched the surface with her powers," Russell says pessimistically. "You don't have to hide those feelings of defeat anymore," Raye pleads, "We know how you feel, and have experienced that defeat ourselves. There will be other battles, but for now, let's get on with our lives for now." Russell relaxes his hand as Raye gives it a loving sister-to- brother squeeze, "There's a beautiful girl waiting for you. Go get her tiger." Russell smiles and returns her squeeze before getting up and walking over to his room. "Oh Russell," Raye says, getting his attention and making him turn around, "Don't worry about Deanna, okay?" Russell smiles in response as he walks back into his room to change into some formals for his date with Amy. Later, he walks out wearing a satin white shirt, black bow tie, and black slacks. He tops if off with a dark crimson formal coat. He's gotta look good for his date with Amy you know. He grabs his new car keys and heads for the door. "Bye Raye," he calls out. "Enjoy your date," Raye calls out from the kitchen. Russell heads out and toward the beautiful new purple Viper sitting near the bottom of the temple steps between his old coupe and Gabianni's sedan. He hops in and slides the key into the ignition. He then turns it to bring out the wild side of the Viper as the thunderous roar of its 10 big cylinders can be heard throughout the temple. Amy's House... Amy walks out of her room after getting herself ready for her big date with Russell. She adjusts the left strap on her silk pale lavender dress, making sure it doesn't slip and expose any rather eye-catching parts of her body. The lavender dress fits around the contours of her petite body almost perfectly, making her look almost exquisite. Even the lavender is pale enough to look white, yet under the right light show the lavender tints. She walks back into her room, grabs the matching waist- length, long-sleeve coat, and slips it on, complimenting her finely made, fine fitting dress. She checks the hosiery to make sure there are no rips or scrunches in it. With a skirt a couple inches above her knees, a tear, scratch, or scrunches in her hosiery could really look bad, and ruin the look completely. After passing inspection, she walks down the stairs and into the living room, where she awaits her Prince of Mars to sweep her away in his trusty steed. 'He got his new car today,' Amy thinks to herself, remembering why he had left for America in the first place, 'I wonder what kind he got.' She knew he was going to get a nice sports car, and American built, but that doesn't narrow it down much for her. She knows quite a bit about cars, mostly because she spends her time studying the science and technology of them. She knows about what power lies beneath their hoods, and their various technical specifications. She thinks of a few fast, American cars, trying to find which one would fit Russell better. After thinking for a while, she comes to a conclusion, 'They all fit well with him. What did he get?' After asking that in her head, the thunderous sound of a powerful car approaching grabs her attention. Its rather low roar gives her the impression that it must be a powerful engine. When the car's engine slows to idle in her driveway, Amy looks out the window towards that direction. She sees only the purple back bumper of the car, 'Not much help.' Right when the engine shuts off, Amy runs toward the door and slips on a pair of white pumps before walking out the door. She stands on the porch, not letting her desire to see what kind of car got overcome her attempt at wooing Russell with her great looks. Almost immediately after the car door closes, Amy looks on as her Prince of Mars emerges from behind the garage and up the sidewalk. Complete astonishment overcomes her as she sighs at his crimson and black outfit. Russell freezes in the driveway when he sees how Amy's beautifully made dress brings out the fine curvature in her body. The lavender silk tops it all off as he walks up to her and takes her in his arms, caressing the fine silk. The feel of it brings a slight sense of admiration and pleasure to him. "You're so beautiful," he says, looking into Amy's beautiful blue eyes. Her only response is a light pink blush, "You don't have to flatter me. You look handsome yourself." Amy hides her face in his shoulder, trying to hide the fact that she's blushing a deeper pink into a light scarlet. "Amy, doll?" Russell says, "Want to see my trusty steed?" The blushing from being flattered disappears Amy feels excited about his new car, "I thought you'd never ask?" She wraps her arms around one of his as they walk out toward the car. Right when they reach the car, Amy almost falls completely in love with the beautiful, but wild machine. "A Dodge Viper? I love these cars," Amy says as she runs over to it, admiring the finish of the car. "Wanna ride in it?" Russell asks, trying to divert Amy's attention from the car and a little more on their date. "I'd love to," Amy replies, glassy eyed. Russell walks over to the passenger side door and opens it for her. Amy walks over to see a bouquet of red roses sitting in the passenger seat. Amy's eyes only get glassier, but not at the car this time. "Oh Russell," she gasps, almost speechless. "Courtesy of Darien, and a little help from Li..." says Russell, being stopped by Amy placing her finger over his lips to shut him up. She then wraps her arms around him and caresses his lips with hers, showing him how much she appreciate not only getting a ride in a great car, but most of all, the roses. She then lets go and climbs into the car. She closes the door and relaxes, watching Russell walk around to the driver's side. Russell hops in and reaches for the glove compartment. Amy inconspicuously tightens her legs together, slightly moves them away, and pulls the edge of her skirt down, a rather instinctive response to a guy reaching that close to her. She knows he doesn't have perverted intentions, but the response is almost completely uncontrollable, and a result from her being her typical shy, never had a boyfriend self. Russell catches her response and freezes, looking at her and smiling. He then proceeds to open the glove compartment and grabs a couple CD's, featuring the ocean inspired ambient music that Russell remembers hearing back in his distant past. He takes a CD and slides it into his CD player. 'I like this car even more now,' Russell thinks to himself as the aquatic music begins playing on a sound system that sounds better than the one he had in his old coupe, 'I don't have to use the portable with the car adapter anymore.' Amy lies back, closes her eyes and relaxes as the music puts her in a state of total relaxation. "You like this music?" Russell asks as he starts the car, causing a 2-second skip in the song as the Viper roars to life. Amy only slowly nods her head in response, not letting Russell's question, the 2-second skip, or the sound of the Viper's 10 cylinders drag her out of her state of relaxation. The very minute vibration the car's engine produces only puts her more in a state of relaxation. A brand new car rarely puts out any kind of vibration, even one as powerful as a Viper. But the Amy is rather sensitive to these things. The car's engine, in addition to the music, put Amy into almost a trance. Russell backs the car out of Amy's driveway a little less wildly than usual in order to better impress his Amy and to keep her from losing her comfort. He then puts the car in gear and heads for where he had planned for the both of them. Luigi's Italian Restaurant... Russell and Amy sit in the main lobby, awaiting their tables. Amy, still in a somewhat relaxed state, has her arms wrapped around Russell's forearm and her head lying against the side of his shoulder, with her eyes closed. She gives his arm a slight caress and a squeeze before returning her hand to its previous position. "Hino, table for 2," a man calls on the speakers. Russell lightly shakes the arm that Amy's latched onto and relaxed on. "Hey Amy, that's us. Wake up sweetheart," he says. Amy lifts her head from his shoulder and gets up, still holding on to his arm. They walk toward the guide and follow him as he leads them to their table. Amy takes her seat across from Russell and grabs the menu, browsing through the Italian foods and the fine wines. She admired the wines the restaurant has available, but knowing that she's underage, she only dreams of the day that she'll legally have a fine wine with the one she loves. So Amy browses though and finds a dish that Lita often makes for her and her friends. "I'll have a Chicken Parmesan," she decides, "How about you?" "I'm in a 5-cheese Lasagna mood," Russell replies as he waves for a waiter. He gives out his order, making sure not to include anything alcoholic since he has to drive Amy back home. After giving his order, he gazes into her beautiful eyes, trying not to look a little further down at how her dress brings out her perfectly defined "talent". He then takes her hands into his and gently caresses them with his thumbs. He looks at her hands, giving him an excuse to catch a glimpse of her bust without her seeing it. He then pulls her hands up to their face level as they gaze into each other's sparkling eyes. The look in Amy's eyes brings Russell back to the sparkling eyes he saw on the day they first kissed, first gazed at the stars, and made their love known. As he continues gazing, he remembers her from back in the Silver Millennium, crying after he had asked her a question. Her tears were not of sadness, or heartbreak, but of extreme happiness. Something had to have made her that happy back then, but he doesn't seem to remember. He then remembers back to his first dance with her back in the Silver Millennium, and the aquatic music he had grown to love as much as he loves Pop. As Amy stares into his eyes, she sees a special gift that he had gotten just for her back in the Silver Millennium. She doesn't remember anything but this beautiful blue shimmer it had under the right light. She wore it with such great love that she would never let it go back then. She then remembers how his hair danced so elegantly in the wind, provoking even greater love for him at the sight of such a handsome man bearing such elegant style. She then remembers back to the time when she had first asked her prince to dance with her. She remembers her heart beating so rapidly, holding her hand to her chest, and her cheeks blushing almost a deep crimson. She had never asked a guy to dance with her before then. "Amy, your beauty is like the enchanting oceans," Russell says, giving her hands a slight, yet loving squeeze. Amy looks slightly away as she blushes at the sound of Russell's compliment. "You don't have to say that," she says, returning his squeeze. The waiter arrives a half-hour later with their food and sets it on the table in front of them. Amy is the first to try out her chicken parmesan. "This could easily pass for Lita's cooking," Amy says as the taste of the chicken parmesan is all familiar too her. Russell too takes a bite of his lasagna, only to find a similar hint of seasonings in it, "You know, Amy, this does taste just like Lita's lasagna." "I wonder who the cook is who's so good at making this stuff?" Amy asks as she continues feasting on the well-made dish. Their waiter walks by a minute later, and Russell gets an idea. "Maybe I'll ask the waiter who made this stuff," he says as he gestures to the waiter, summoning him. "May I help you, sir?" the waiter asks. "Yes, do you know who cooked this stuff?" Russell asks, "It tastes so familiar to us." "Well, we have a number of cooks you know," the waiter answers, "But I believe a chef named Lita Kino, a new employee, made this dish." Both their eyes widen as sweatdrops fly from their faces at the sound of one of their closest friends working at a restaurant. "She saw the name Russell Hino on the order and insisted on making it herself," the waiter explains. Russell reaches for his wallet and pulls out a small amount of cash. "Here," he says, giving it to the waiter, "give this to her. My compliments to the chef." After the chef leaves, Amy looks into his eyes. A second later, Russell feels a leg lightly rub against his, gently and lovingly caressing it. Russell only smiles at her little display of affection. He then feels another leg caress his. Then they both grab a hold of his and pull, while at the same time, Amy's chair slides closer to the table. "Amy, what are you doing, sweetie?" he asks, wondering why she's pulling herself closer to the table. Amy blushes at both the creaking of the chair sliding forward and Russell's question. "Uh, nothing, Russell," she timidly answers. She looks into eyes again and drops one of her legs, leaving the other rubbing against Russell's. Later, she slips her pump off and begins caressing Russell's leg with her pantyhose-clad foot, giving a more detailed and a more gentle caress of his leg. Russell smiles at Amy's continued showing of affection, feeling a slight tingling sensation in his leg where Amy's foot is caressing. He feels such great pleasure and such great love that he almost forgets about his Lita-made meal. He then feels Amy bring relax her leg and rest her foot on his. She then continues to eat her Chicken Parmesan, which gives Russell a good excuse to eat his. 'She seems a little more confident, yet is still shy about something,' Russell thinks to himself, 'It's like she's trying to be inconspicuous about her flirting, and is doing a poor job at it. Oh well, I love her anyways.' He looks at her and looks at her lovely blue hair, her almost perfectly defined body in the lavender dress, as she continues eating. No sooner than he can think 'Damn, she looks so beautiful', she looks up from her dish, her eyes meeting his. Amy looks at those beautiful purple eyes of Russell's and smiles at the single sparkle that emanates from it. With that sparkle in his eye, Amy gets the message 'I'll show you my love later.' Amy thinks to herself, trying to find a way to return the love to him. This showing of love never occurred to her, but somehow, she always seems to find the right way for the right moment, or have a desire to flirt with the man she loves. This surprises her, knowing the fact she's never had a boyfriend before Russell. She may have admired a few guys in her life, including Greg and Russell, but her love for Russell seems to bring out desires and a somewhat seductive nature she never knew she had in her. Russell senses somehow that she got the message the look in his eyes sent her. But the fact that she answered with a smile kills all chances of it being some psychic sense. They continue to eat their food, which Lita had specially prepared for the romantic couple, with thoughts on their minds about each other, about their experiences in the Silver Millennium going though their minds. Russell wonders how Amy could've been so different back then than she is now, yet, all the same. On the way to Amy's house... Russell sits in the fine leather bucket seats, with his foot on the accelerator, controlling the power of his new beast, his hand resting on the leather-wrapped shifter, and with Japanese adult contemporary playing on his stereo. Amy sits in the passenger seat, with her hand caressing his with her delicate fingers. She then rests her hand on it, a little disappointed that she can't lie her head on his shoulder since he has to use that arm to shift gears. She thinks to herself, 'He should've gotten a car with an automatic.' But then reason comes to her, and she realizes almost instantly that he chose the right car for him, and that it doesn't matter if a girl can't lie her head on his shoulder. Amy squeezes his hand, letting him know to the best of her ability that she loves him, and wants this night to last forever. She indeed did spend a great night with Russell. The fact that Lita works at that particular restaurant, and at age 14, surprises her. But at the same time, she thanks her friend for making such a great dish for the both of them, on this special night together, one in which they rarely get the opportunity spend. To her, this was a night to put away her books and forget all about her academics and how to keep them up, and concentrate on her love for her Prince of Mars and spend a wonderful time with him. Russell thinks to himself about his night with Amy. If one thing were to take his mid completely away from his excitements and his troubles, it's the time he spends with a wonderful girl, especially one like Amy. Throughout the night he forgets all about his excitement over his new car that he had gotten today, he forgets about his academics and athletics, and most of all, he forgets all about Deanna and his losses to her. This was the perfect night for Russell. At a stoplight, right up close to Amy's house, he takes a look at her. She concentrates on the nighttime scenery, as the lights seem to captivate her. Seconds later, she looks over at him, and the beauty of her dimly lit face as the light only hits the edge of her face only makes Russell further admire her. The fact that she's beautiful in the light, and the dark, assures Russell that he spent the night with a true princess. The light turns green, and Russell turns his eyes back to the road and gently gets his mighty steed rolling. The night is too relaxing, too serene, and too fatiguing for him to show off the full potential of a Dodge Viper. The fact that he's close to Amy's house gives him no reason to be in a hurry or to show off his car's prowess. Soon, he pulls up to Amy's house and turns the small, nimble Viper into the driveway. He pulls the parking brake, puts the car in neutral, and turns the engine off, cutting off the music as well. He gets out of the car and walks over to Amy's side. He opens the door and takes her hand as she raises out of the car. He closes the door behind her and begins to walk. Amy immediately wraps both her arms around his forearm and lies her head on the side of his shoulder as they walk towards her front door. They reach the door, knowing that this night has ended. But they aren't just gonna let this night end willingly. They look at each other, thinking about the night they enjoyed with each other, and how the fact that Lita cooked their food helped out a lot. "Amy, this was the best night I've ever..." Russell says. "Sssshhhhh," Amy says, placing her finger over his lips, then pressing her own against his, rather showing her love to him than saying it. He deepens his kiss, letting her know how much he enjoyed the night with Sailor Mercury, his favorite Sailor Scout, and his Mercury Princess. Amy completely submits herself to his kiss, letting him do all the kissing, as their tongues joyfully dance with one another to a silent and endless waltz. They break their kiss moments later and look into each other's glistening eyes. If anything could show true love, it's those eyes of theirs. "Russell, you don't have to say anything," Amy says, caressing his face from cheek to cheek. "All I have to say is we still have a thousand years of love to give to one another," Russell says. "The love I feel for you more than makes up for those thousand years we missed," Amy says, smiling at him and pulling him a little closer. They kiss again, submitting to each other's love, desire, and passion. Amy slowly lifts her knee in between Russell's. Russell's eyes pop open at the sensation of Amy's thigh coming in contact with his crotch. But that doesn't stop him from showing Amy the heat of a kiss from the Prince of Mars. He closes his eyes again, relying only on his senses of touch and taste to interpret what he feels for this petite, intellectual young lady. At the same time, the feel of her leg lightly rubbing against his crotch and the taste of her lips dominate his mind, and tell his brain how much this seemingly docile young lady loves him. Amy thinks to herself as she submits herself to her desire for her handsome beau, 'So this is what it's like to make out with a guy.' This is a feeling totally new to her, and one she is willing to explore. Almost instinctively, she knows what to do and how to carry out in the physical display of her affections towards Russell. She thanks the last romance novel she read for some of it, but deep down inside, she knows it's something else within her that shows her what to do and how to show Russell that she loves him. 'I just need to let things flow, but be ethical about it,' she thinks to herself, 'no more shy little girl for me, not when I'm with Russell.' "Hey you two, get a room," a man's voice says. They break their kiss after a display of affection, which seemed to last forever and look towards the sidewalk where the voice emanated. There, they see a man walking a Cocker Spaniel down the sidewalk and looking rather absurdly at the couple. They turn back to each other and give each other a quick smooch on the lips. "You get some rest, alright Amy," Russell says, brushing Amy's blue bangs with his fingers. "You take it easy, Russell," Amy replies, "I'll be fine. You just take care of yourself and don't worry so much about things. You'll be fine." Amy opens the door with a free hand, while she still holds on to Russell with the other. She drops her knee and takes a step inside, letting Russell know that she can't stay forever. He gladly lets her go, still holding onto her hand as she slowly makes her way inside. Amy looks at him and smiles at him. "I love you, Amy," Russell says. "I love you too, my Prince of Mars," Amy replies before letting go and disappearing into her house. "Sweet dreams," he says into empty air as the door in front of him closes. Suddenly, right as the door closes, he gets an odd sense, as if someone was watching them the whole time, or is watching them even now. He figures it was the man walking his dog and turns around to walk toward his car. He rounds the corner, only to find a slim feminine figure standing next to his car, looking straight at him. Russell jumps in pure shock, hitting Amy's garage door with almost enough force to make the sound of it noticeable. The glowing blue eyes let him know exactly who it is. "Deanna," he says in shock, "How did you get here?" "You know I can teleport," Deanna replies, "Besides I don't live very far from here. I sensed your presence in the area and decided to find out why you were here. Your love for Amy is strong, stronger than you realize. I look at couples a lot. I feel their love for one another, and occasionally help them let their feelings out. Yet, a relationship with a man to me is pointless, especially since I don't possess the ability to love a man. Like friendships, it only gets in the way of my academic and psychic practices, and is something I can do without." "You came here, teleported right next to my brand new car, and scared the shit outta me, at Amy's house no less, just to tell me your opinions on romantic relationships between people?" Russell asks, perplexed of why she's here, "You sure pick a good time and place to do it." "Why I'm here is not that, but it was merely an observation," Deanna elucidates, "I know in our last battle that none of you showed your true abilities." "You didn't even give us a chance to fight back," Russell argues. "Oh," Deanna says, "Then what was your sister's attempt as using a fiery bird to attack me? And your beloved's attempt at masking her attack with fog?" "You still didn't give us much of a chance to prove ourselves," Russell rebuts, "You either answered our attempt to attack, or took us out of the picture right when we stepped up to fight." This point convinces Deanna enough, "Perhaps I was unfair in our last battle. Perhaps I wasn't. We could battle again at any time, Russell. I only hope you or the Sailor Scouts fight me with their powers and not try to tempt me. Good night." Deanna disappears in a flash, leaving Russell with her words lingering in his mind. He opens the driver side door and climbs into his Viper. He starts the engine and backs out, then puts the car in first and heads toward home, thinking about what Deanna had just said to him. Brookdale Private School, the next day... Russell stands outside the elegant gates of the private girls, awaiting his sister Raye to finish her classes. Thoughts on his mind about his wonderful night with Amy rush through his mind. This was the most romantically open he has ever seen her, but she still retains a lot of that shyness that makes Amy who she is. Yet, he finds something odd about that and Deanna's words. She said "she feels their love for one another, and occasionally help them let their feelings out." He begins to wonder if Deanna somehow influenced Amy's actions before they parted, especially the leg lift between his. Then again, Amy's been rubbing his legs most of the night, so Deanna couldn't possibly have been influencing her. But that remains a mystery to Russell. But, the mystery disappears and Russell smiles as he remembers the intense pleasure he felt from Amy's thigh rubbing his crotch. "Hey Russell," a girl's voice greets, breaking him from his thoughts. "Nah," Russell says to himself at a little thought of going beyond Amy's leg action. "Nah what?" the girl asks. Russell looks at the girl talking to him to find that it is Raye, who is now out of school for the day. "Oh, umm... nothing Raye," he evasively answers, not wanting to admit that he had a sex fantasy about Amy. "You were thinking about Amy, weren't 'ya?" she inquisitively asks. "Well, yes," Russell replies, leaving it at that, "Ready to go?" "Of course," Raye replies, "Are we gonna be in your new Viper?" "Actually, I left the car at home 'cause I need a good walk," Russell replies, "You know, get some exercise after soccer season?" "Well, a walk sounds good right about now," Raye replies, "I could use a little walk myself." "Good," Russell says as he begins walking towards the 10th street district, "We'll go the long way and make it a good walk back home." "Oh you just love torturing me, don't 'ya?" Raye complains as runs to catch up with him. "That's what I'm for," Russell boldly answers. 10th Street district... Russell walks down the sidewalk along 10th street, with Raye following, taking occasional glances at the passing cars. A fine European sports car catches Russell's eye, "Dang, the British sure know how to make good cars. I wonder why Mina never suggested any to me?" "Maybe because you never asked her about her time in England, let alone what good cars they had there," Raye replies. Another car then catches his eye, this time a more familiar one. "Hey, isn't that Darien's car?" he asks. Raye takes a look at it, "Yep, it sure is. You do know I've ridden in it a few times when he and I dated." "I still find it odd that my little sister and my best friend dated," Russell comments, "Isn't there some law against dating your best friend's sibling, or dating your sibling's best friend?" "Relax Russell, that's probably why we didn't last," Raye assures, "That and the fact he's meant to be with Serena." "I'm very sure I was meant to be with Amy, but I don't remember if you were meant to be with anybody," says Russell. "I have no clue either," says Raye. Suddenly, Russell stops dead in his tracks, and his sister with him. "You sense something?" Raye asks Russell. Russell lowers his eyebrows at both the question and the familiar sense. "Yeah, I feel it," he answers with a deep voice, then summons, "Deanna, show yourself." "'Seems like your and your sister's ESP never fails you,'" her voice echoes in their minds. Suddenly, a field of energy overtakes the siblings, as the world around them seems to grow brighter, completely blurring out the whole 10th Street District. At the same time, they feel completely weightless, and without mass. It's as if they're becoming the air itself. Suddenly, the weightlessness effect disappears as the world around them refocuses, only this time they are on top of a nearby building. On the other end stands the all too familiar figure, wearing a purple turtleneck and black skirt, with the usual black knee-high high- heeled boots. "So this is what teleportation feels like," Russell comments. "Believe me, I know the feeling all too well," Raye agrees, remembering Sailor Teleport. Russell then turns back to Deanna, "So you bring us here to fight you." "You're not ready for public humiliation quite yet," says Deanna, "This is merely another test of our battle skills." "I'm not in the mood for your fights," Russell says as he walks with Raye towards the door leading downstairs. Russell reaches it, only to walk into a solid energy barrier, knocking him back. "Damn," he says to himself. He then sees a fire escape and runs full speed towards it. His attempt is futile, as he runs into another energy barrier, knocking him back even further. "It's useless, Russell. She's got some kind of force field surrounding us," Raye says. "As you see, Russell, you have no choice at the moment," Deanna says, keeping her usual tone and straight face, "Now will you stop trying to run away and show some bravery." "I hate to do this," Russell says as he raises his obsidian jewel ring and transforms into Tuxedo Inferno, "but this is what you get for interrupting the exercise Raye and I need." "Mars Power!!!" Sailor Mars hops to Tuxedo Inferno's side and strikes her battle pose, "No one messes with my brother... except me." "I see I've convinced you enough," Deanna says. "Uh, Deanna, give us a moment to go over our battle strategy," Tuxedo Inferno proposes. "Very well," Deanna replies. "Okay Raye, huddle," Tuxedo Inferno says as he and Sailor Mars turn their backs to Deanna, making their plans inconspicuous. Tuxedo Inferno peeks over his shoulder, "No peeking, Deanna. And no mind reading either." "You have my word," Deanna says. "How the hell do we get past her telekinesis?" Sailor Mars asks. "I've gotten a couple attacks past her a few times, but it was all out of luck," Tuxedo Inferno explains. "That doesn't help us any," Sailor Mars replies. "Well, we can hope luck will be on our side in this battle," Tuxedo Inferno says. "Like I said, it's worthless," Sailor Mars reiterates, "You have any other plans?" "Are you ready?" Deanna asks. Tuxedo Inferno turns around, with a sweatdrop hanging from his head, "Urr... we're not quite ready Deanna." "Very well," Deanna replies. Tuxedo Inferno then turns his back again and discusses his strategy with Sailor Mars, "Just that we strike hard, and strike fast." "We tried that last time, she's faster then we are," Sailor Mars contradicts. A moment passes by as they try to think of another plan of attack. "Well, we haven't proven our true power, and she knows that," Tuxedo Inferno explains, "And I know she hasn't shown us her true power. We can always try our more powerful attacks." "But how do you know she won't counteract it, or use it against us," Sailor Mars says. "Well, are you done yet?" Deanna asks. Tuxedo Inferno more vigorously turns back to Deanna, "Look, could get off our backs." He then turns back to Sailor Mars, "We have no other choice." "Right, let's do it," Sailor Mars says. Tuxedo Inferno then turns back to Deanna, "We're ready." "Good," Deanna says as her eyes glow a bright blue, pushing Tuxedo Inferno back a little with her telekinetic powers. As she concentrates on Tuxedo Inferno, Sailor Mars swiftly turns around and charges at Deanna with burning hands. Deanna immediately turns to Sailor Mars and turns that telekinetic energy on her. Even with the force holding her back, Sailor Mars perseveres and pushes her way towards Deanna, her burning hands urging to get a hold of that psychic witch. Just as she inches closer to Deanna, Tuxedo Inferno finds his opportunity and makes his attack. "Inferno Fire, BEAM!!!" He sends a beam of intense fire flying towards Deanna. Deanna notices and turns to it just too late. She grunts as the beam strikes her in the chest and sends her into the door leading downstairs. "YEAH, awright!!" Tuxedo Inferno celebrates as not only luck, but also skill seem to be on his side as his beam of fire hits its mark. With her hands still burning, Sailor Mars grabs Deanna by the throat and slowly lifts her back to her feet. "That's what you get for insulting our courage," Sailor Mars says. Deanna barely winces in pain, as an aura of blue surrounds her. "This is only the beginning," Deanna says. With her psychic powers, she pushes Sailor Mars and her burning hands back and away from her. She then lifts both Sailor Mars and Tuxedo Inferno off the ground, then sends them flying into each other. They collide with quite a bit of force and fall to the ground, rather dazed. "I however credit you for that bit of ingenuity," Deanna praises. Sailor Mars gets up from her collision with her older brother of fire. "She's actually praising you?" Sailor Mars wonders. Tuxedo Inferno struggles to his feet, "Yeah. She does that." "But why if she hates you so much?" Sailor Mars asks, "Shouldn't she be insulting you?" "She can't hate," Tuxedo Inferno explains, "She's a competitor, and a fellow warrior. She'll sometimes praise others, or insult them." "Well, I'll give her something to praise," Sailor Mars says, pointing at Deanna, "Mars Fire, Ignite!" She sends a ball of fire hurtling at Deanna. Deanna only watches as it flies towards her, "Sibling rivalry. Common sign of it, violent acts towards each other," Deanna says in her usual indifferent tone as she waves her arm in Tuxedo Inferno's direction, sending the fireball at him. Tuxedo Inferno gasps at his sister's attack being turned against him. He has little time to dodge it, as the ball of fire strikes him directly in the chest, sending him on a ride into the psychic barrier. Slowly, he slides down to the ground. Sailor Mars gasps as she covers her mouth with her hands, shocked at the sight of the second time her attack was turned against someone. His time, it was her own family Deanna had turned her attack against. Hurting her friends is one thing, but hurting her family only makes the fire within her burn even hotter. She turns to Deanna, with fire burning in her eyes, and begins walking toward her. Deanna looks at Sailor Mars' slow advance and wonders why she's even taking such a direct approach. Sailor Mars knows Deanna will just clobber her before she even makes it to her. Sailor Mars continues walking toward her, waiting for just the right moment to strike. Hopefully, she can catch Deanna when she least expects it and hope her intuitive mind doesn't catch her plan and when. Tuxedo Inferno gets up to see his sister walking up to Deanna with full intention of attacking. 'Idiot,' he thinks to himself, 'You know she'll send you flying if you try that.' "Sailor Mars, move!" he yells as he draws his Flame Sword from his Obsidian Jewel Ring and pulls it back, "Inferno Fire, Beam!!!" He sends waves his blade towards Deanna, sending a powerful beam of fire, enhanced by the power of his Flames Sword, drilling towards her. At the same time, while Deanna turns her head towards the beam of fire, Sailor Mars clasps her hands together with force. Meanwhile, Deanna's eyes glow blue as she sends the beam of fire flying at Sailor Mars. Sailor Mars barely mutters her attack with the fire just beginning to ignite before the beam of fire strikes her. The beam sets her ablaze and sends her sliding into the barrier. The fire douses seconds later, leaving her sailor suit scorched and tattered, and leaving her unconscious. "RAYE!!!" he yells as he drops his sword and runs up to her fallen body. He takes her in his arms and looks at her slightly charred face. "Oh no," he says to himself, "She hurt my sister with my own attack. Damn her." He lies her down and glares at Deanna, the mask hiding the look in his eyes. He lowers his eyebrows and stands up to face Deanna. "It's you and me now, Tuxedo Inferno," Deanna says in her usual tone. Tuxedo Inferno only responds by ripping his mask from his face, revealing his eyes, glowing a bright orange. He slowly raises his arms out to his sides, while flames ignite all around him. "Inferno..." he yells, intensifying the flames around him, "...FURY!!!" He waves his arm at Deanna, sending the flames flying so fast, that they engulf the entire roof area and form a cyclone covering an area many times that size and knocking Deanna's barrier completely out. The people below watch in horror as a firestorm rages on above. The flaming cyclone vanishes, revealing absolutely nothing except a slightly charred roof. Deanna is no where to be found. "I... must've gotten her," Tuxedo Inferno says to himself. That hope is all but shattered when Deanna teleports right in front of him, with glowing blue eyes, and telekinetically pushes him back and into the wall that separates him from a long fall into the alleyway below. He gets up seconds later, "Dammit, she teleported out of the way," he says to himself, but then notices her turtleneck is slightly burnt, especially the arms, and thinks to himself, 'but at least I barely got her before she teleported. Suddenly, a white rose strikes Deanna in the arm, on one of the charred parts of her turtleneck. She winces in pain at the sensation of the rose piercing her sleeve and her skin. She pulls the rose out, with blood dripping from its tip. She rolls her sleeve up and sees blood trickling down her arm from the puncture wound. 'He always seems to strike a good first blow,' Deanna thinks to herself. She looks across the street towards an equally tall building and finds the Moonlight Knight standing on the edge, with his cape flowing in the wind and a white rose up to his face. "Brought into the world from the same nest, two birds begin their long journey together," he quotes, "Their journey is long, their efforts are savage, but their bond is forever, and guides them through. Such a bond is blessed, and shouldn't be tortured by a soulless being. Leave their siblinghood be." "So, bye throwing a rose into my arm, you wish to fight me," Deanna says. "I don't wish to fight you, but you harm the beauty of God's blessing to a brother and sister, each other," the Moonlight Knight replies. "I take that you wish to punish me," Deanna assumes. "I say you look at yourself and your pointless battles," the Moonlight Knight rebuts. Deanna concentrates on him, trying to focus her telekinetic powers on him. Her eyes glow a bright blue, but little happens as the Moonlight Knight barely budges an inch. 'Again, I find it difficult to even grab him with my mind,' she thinks to herself, 'He's different than the Scouts and Tuxedo Inferno. I could almost confirm that he's a some type of ghost.' She concentrates harder on him, and finally lifts him off the ground. 'But, like I tried last time, I just have to really concentrate my energy on him,' she thinks to herself. In response, the Moonlight Knight throws the rose at her, striking her in the face with the blossom itself, and causing her to drop the Moonlight Knight. "I am capable of coming to you...," the Moonlight Knight says. He jumps from the building. "...without the power of your mind to help me here." He checks on Sailor Mars from a distance, who is barely moving at all, as if she's trying to snap out of it. He then draws his sword, knowing that a battle with Deanna is inevitable, and something he cannot avoid. 'She's not the princess,' he thinks to himself, referring to Sailor Mars, 'but yet, I am still here protecting her and her brother from this psychic warrior. They must be important to me if I am sworn to defend them as well as the princess.' Deanna's eyes glow bright blue as she powers up for an attack, "Psychic Beam." She throws her arms in front of her, sending a right blue beam of energy flying at him. She strikes him right in the chest, knocking him into the wall at the edge of the building. She teleports right in front of him, her eyes still glowing. "Psychic Wave," she says, sending rippling waves at the Moonlight Knight. He only looks back at her, without so much as a sign of succumbing to her attempt at attacking his mind. He grabs his sword and knocks her back with great force using the pommel of his sword. He gets up and throws volley of roses at her. Deanna only teleports just as the roses come within inches of striking her, and reappears on the other side of the building. 'Not only is he difficult to control with telekinesis, but also a difficult mind to attack,' she thinks to herself. Meanwhile, Sailor Mars recovers from Deanna's turning Tuxedo Inferno's violent beam of fire against her. Tuxedo Inferno stands by her side, "You okay, sis?" "Yeah, I'll be fine," she replies. "I'm so sorry about that," Tuxedo Inferno apologizes, feeling so much guilt from his beam hitting her. "It's not your fault," she assures, "She's tough as hell to fight." "Believe me, this is my fourth meeting with her," Tuxedo Inferno agrees. "The Moonlight Knight's here," Sailor Mars points out, "And it looks like Deanna's having a bit of a tougher time with him." "How is that so?" Tuxedo Inferno wonders, "If he's Darien like we all believe him to be, then why is Deanna having a tougher time with him than she did with us?" "I have no clue," Sailor Mars replies, "Maybe there's more to the Moonlight Knight than we think." Suddenly, she finds an opening as the Moonlight Knight has Deanna quite distracted, "I say we attack now." "I couldn't agree with you more," Tuxedo Inferno agrees. Both siblings charge up their attacks, with Sailor Mars throwing a scroll in the air. "Mire Firebird Strike!" "Inferno Blaze Wall!" Just as they chant that, Deanna gets the upper hand on the Moonlight Knight, lifting him off the ground with her telekinetic powers and slamming him into the ground. She then turns to the children of fire, only to see a wall of fire lead by a flaming bird rushing towards her. She throws her arms in front of her, stopping the fire dead in its tracks. Tuxedo Inferno and Sailor Mars both gasp in shock as the fire and bird collect into a huge ball of flames. "Farewell, warriors of fire," Deanna says as she sends the powerful ball of fire rolling into the siblings, striking them with great force and knocking them off the building. Both siblings plunge the long way down into the back alley. The strike the pavement with great force, taking out what energy they had left in them. Flames surround their bodies, then extinguish seconds later, revealing them in their civilian forms. Both Raye and Russell lie unconscious in the dusty alleyway. The Moonlight Knight comes to seconds later to find that both Deanna and the siblings gone. "Russell, Raye, where are you?" he asks into empty air, "Please be alright." He walks toward the side edge of the building and looks down into the side alley. They are nowhere to be seen, so he walks along the edge to the next end. He looks down into the back alley and finds them lying on the ground, the whole long way down, and in their civilian forms. "God, no," he says as he jumps down to the fire escape and begins bounding off fire escapes on his way down, "Please don't be dead." He makes it down moments later, much longer than it took Russell and Raye to fall that 200 feet down. He checks on them, fearing the worst, but hoping for the best. He checks on Russell and, to his relief, feels a pulse, "Thank God you're alive. I just hope your sister fared as well as you." He checks Raye's pulse and also feels life in her. "I'm so glad you're alright. I thought she had finished you off for sure, and denied you the remainder of your journey together before you part your ways. She could take away your lives, but never the bond you share as brother and sister. Forgive me children of fire, for I was unable to protect you from her on your journey through life. Maybe one day, we'll defeat her mind in battle. But for now, cherish the bond you share as siblings. Farewell children of fire." The Moonlight Knight turns and disappears into the darkness of the alleyway. Russell wakes up from his long sleep and finds himself in an alley and in his civilian form. "Ugh... damn my head hurts," he says, pressing his hand against his head. He looks around, his vision slightly blurred from his splitting headache. He notices Raye lying not far from him, also struggling to get up. He crawls over to her, trying not to exert too much pressure on his headache. He makes it to her and takes her in his arms. "Raye, you okay?" he says, trying to get her to snap out of it. "Uh... yeah, a little... burnt up," she slowly replies. She opens her eyes to see Russell holding her in his arms. Her eyes immediately widen as she pushes him away, causing her to fall back to the ground. "Russell, I don't like you like that," she scolds, then giggles when she sees that no one is around, "Just kidding. I'm only teasing." "I seem to have healed you rather quick," Russell comments, "I wish I could do that to my headache." Russell gets up and begins to walk down the alleyway on his way out of there. "I wonder where and how far Deanna teleported us?" he asks. "Beats me," Raye replies, "Once we make it to the street, we'll know. I don't hang out in alleyways." They make it back to the street after getting out of those dark and dusty alleyways. They find themselves amongst people, some talking about the firestorm above, some talking about the Sailor Scouts. A man walks up to the siblings, showing his obvious feelings of excitement and thrill. "Man, did you guys see what happened above?" he asks, "It was so cool. A tornado of fire formed on the roof of this very building. I'm thinkin' the Sailor Scouts or Tuxedo Inferno had something to do with it. Then the Moonlight Knight came, he's such a cool looking guy. Then it became sad as I saw Sailor Mars and Tuxedo Inferno fall from the building, right about where you guys just came from. Did you see them?" "Um... no. Not really," Russell evasively replies, "How 'bout you, Raye? Did you see anything?" 'Yeah, I was IN it,' he thinks to himself after he responds. "Nope, nothing," Raye replies, "I didn't see them. BUT, I did see the fiery tornado. That was cool. Well, we better head off. Bye." They walk down the street a short ways to find themselves still on 10th street in the 10th street district. They see a crowd gathered where they passed by Darien's car. They run over to see what they're gathered around. There, they find Darien lying on the ground next to his car. "What happened?" he asks. "He just passed out a few minutes ago, some time after that firestorm," one of the spectators answers. "Let me in," Russell says as he struggles his way through the crowd and up to Darien. "Darien, snap out of it, wake up," Russell pleads. Darien doesn't reply with so much as a budge. Russell thinks quickly of what to do. An idea comes to his mind as he pulls a lighter out. "This should wake him up," he says as he lights it near his face. He slowly brings the flame closer and closer to Darien, trying to awaken him with heat. Suddenly, Darien's eyes pop open as pain engulfs his face. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!" he screams as he jumps on top of his car at the speed of light, clinching his teeth, breathing heavily, and sweatdrops hanging from his face. "Geez, don't ever do that again," Darien scolds. "You awake now?" Russell asks as he puts his lighter away. "Yeah, I'm fine. But geez, try water next time," Darien replies. Raye walks up to the group moments later, "You okay Darien? What happened?" she asks. "I don't know. One minute, walking along the sidewalk, the next minute, something overcomes me, as if I lost energy all of a sudden. I must've been exhausted from the day or something," Darien replies. He then realizes that the siblings walked the entire way over to the 10th street district. "Need a ride home," he asks, being the good friend that he is. Russell finds that this walk had gotten less enjoyable after their meeting with Deanna. He looks at his sister, who by the look of her face, more than agrees with him. "Sure, thanks buddy," he replies. "Hop on in," Darien replies as he hops into his car. He opens the passenger-side door, letting Russell and Raye hop into his nice Honda. Darien starts his engines and drives off towards the temple, wondering why that feeling of weakness had overcome him. With Raye leaning over to Russell, jabbering to him, Darien wonders what it'd be like if he had a sister to drive around, to jabber to him, to fight with, and to love like Russell and Raye seem to do each other. He lets out a gentle sigh, then leans over to his glove box and reaches for a CD. He slides it into his CD player and listens as classical music fills the space inside his coupe. Russell thinks to himself as Darien plays his music, 'I envy him, he had a CD player before I got my Viper.' Raye sits back and relaxes while Darien drives the exhausted siblings back to the temple. Deanna's Kokorono's Apartment... Deanna lies on her bed after a good dinner and a little telekinetic practice. This time, the temperature is a little lower than comfortable. It doesn't bother her any, continuing to lie there on her bed. The temperature of the room rarely bugs her, whether it's warm or cool. As she lies there, she begins thinking of the recent events. Everything from classes to battles reaches her mind. She remembers Russell's date with Amy that she had just happened to drop in on at the very end. She concentrates on them, knowing there is love between the two. She senses that this love they have for one another is something she feels only in Sailor Moon. It's as if they've loved each other forever. 'He's loved her more than once in his life,' she thinks to herself. 'This is not the first or the second, but the third time he's fallen in love with her. Love is something I may know of, but will never experience. I can live without it, obligating myself to the emotional attachment to a man, or even another woman. Sometimes, I wonder what love truly is, beyond what I see and what I sense in others..." She pauses for a moment, "...but it is pointless for me to understand it, for it'll only get in the way of my academic and psychic obligations. They are the only things that mean anything to me. A master of psychic powers must learn to concentrate on the subject and not get sidetracked by less important things or events. Without things such as love and hate to distract me, I can achieve this goal, and be a true master indeed.' Satisfied with her thoughts, she reaches over to her nightstand, grabs a book on how the ancient Japanese viewed paranormal events, and begins skimming through it, knowing that this little bit of history will help her expand not only her academics, but also her awareness of her psychic powers. ------------------------------end of cchapter--------------------------- Well, looks like Russell isn't the only one with Deanna troubles on his mind. Now, the Sailor Scouts come to his aid and they too fail miserably in battle. Even the Moonlight Knight shows up to try and save them, though he too fails to protect them. Looks like a heated rivalry is brewing up between Deanna and all the Sailor Scouts, Tuxedo Inferno, and the Moonlight Knight. With that, a little comedy relief and romance, and even Russell getting his new car helped move the story along beyond the long battle scenes. Y'all will have to wait 'til I get the 3rd chapter out and see what other tricks are up the sleeves of both sides, and what other mysteries of Deanna Kokorono will be revealed. I'll try to get it out as soon as possible, with classes and all. Well, hope y'all enjoyed this chapter, and are lookin' forward to the next one. I put the disclaimer at the end so as not to reveal what kinda car Russell got until he began describing it. So, here's the Y2V... ...Disclaimer: Sailor Moon and most of the characters ain't mine. They belong to Naoko Takeuchi, and I thank that woman for creating such great entertainment for all of us with a lot of free time on our hands to enjoy.
