Hino Kyodai
Warrior of Fire and Protector of Good
Hino Kyodai (Russel Hino) is the older brother of Hino Rei (Raye Hino) in both the Silver Millennium and the present. In the Silver Millennium, he was the Prince of the Mars Kingdom. Much of his life and attributes in the Silver Millennium reflect Kyodai in the present. In the present, Kyodai moves back with his sister and grandfather at the temple after living with an aunt and uncle during his high school years. He is highly athletic, participating in the sport of soccer. He is also quite adept at martial arts, holding the rank of black belt in both Jiu-Jitsu and Karate. Academically, Kyodai's intelligence matches even Mizuno Ami's (Amy Anderson). He was the class Salutatorian in high school, was on numerous honor rolls, received Kanto Region Honors for 3 consecutive years, and was the Class President for his Junior and Senior years. As a man of with great looks, girls tend to find him irresistible. This is a downside for Kyodai since he rarely ever dates any of the girls that flock around him. Kyodai has difficulties sharing his deepest feelings with anyone, including those close to him, although he does make exceptions and open up to a couple of people, Mamoru being one of them. He does often dream of finding the right girl, like the one in his dreams of the "distant past". As his alter ego, Tuxedo Inferno, the many years of training during the Silver Millennium kick in. He is a "warrior of fire and protector of good". He often appears when he either senses danger of when he senses someone close to him calling for help, namely Sailor Mars. He often attacks the enemy the Sailor Senshi are fighting before making his appearance. This is usually on high places such as buildings, hills, trees, etc. After helping the Sailor Senshi defeat the enemy, he often makes a grand exit, disappearing in a wall of flames. Kyodai/Tuxedo Inferno does have similarities to certain characters. Like his sister Rei, he tends to be a little pyromaniacal and possesses extra-sensory perception, often sensing danger. Like his best friend Darien, he often has dreams of the Silver Millennium, and of that perfect girl. They are also similar in the way girls flock around them, that they wear similar outfits, and that in battle they always tend to appear in the nick of time. |

Outfit
Tuxedo Inferno's outfit is very much like Tuxedo Mask's. The major difference is the color. His tuxedo, outside of cape, and top hat are dark maroon, while his inner vest and bowtie are lavender, and the inside of his cape is purple. |
Items
Obsidian Jewel Ring |
This is an antique ring passed down the Hino family for generations. Russell tells the story of how an ancestor made the jewel from the lava of Mt. Fuji. When he senses danger, he uses his obsidian jewel ring to transform into Tuxedo Inferno. |
Flame Sword |
Tuxedo Inferno's trusty weapon. This is the very sword Russell used in the Silver Millennium, which he now unsheathes from his obsidian jewel ring. As well as using his expert sword tactics, he also uses this sword to focus the energy of some of his attacks, making them more powerful. |
Attacks
With a nearly a lifetime of training in the Silver Millennium, Tuxedo Inferno knows a relatively large variety of fire attacks. Each of these attacks have different uses and different strength levels. Rarely does he use more than a few of these attacks against the same enemy since they drain his power. |
Inferno Flame |
This is his most common attack, since it doesn't drain much of his power. He'll wave his arms out to his sides saying, "Inferno..." A ball of fire floats above him. He then waves his arm at his opponent saying "...Flame," sending the ball of fire at his opponent. |
Inferno Hands of Fire |
He uses this for anything from grasping his opponent to throwing a fiery punch at his enemy. With or without the words, he'll engulf his hands in flames, making them deadly weapons. |
Inferno Blaze Wall |
He often uses this to attack multiple enemies, though he also uses it as a more powerful attack against a single enemy. He brings his arm across his body, with his two fingers by his ear, saying "Inferno Blaze..." He then swings his arm, sending a wall of fire rushing towards his opponent while saying the words, "...Wall!" |
Inferno Aura |
He'll hold his arms out to the sides and slowly raise them, chanting "Inferno, Aura!" An aura of fire will surround him, providing for defense against most attacks. He can also extend this aura to surround any ally within arms distance. |
Inferno Laughing Spirit |
He uses this attack to distract the enemy for either he or someone else to attack. He'll pull his arm back and say, "Inferno Laughing..." His hand will engulf in flames. He then waves it at the enemy chanting, "...Spirit!" A burning ghostlike spirit will fly around they enemy, constantly laughing at it. |
Inferno Fire Dance |
He'll do a few kung fu moves, chanting "Inferno Fire, Dance!" He then, in a split second, does a swift dance around the enemy, setting everything around him, including the enemy, ablaze. |
Inferno Fire Beam |
This is one of his more powerful attacks, often causing an enemy to fly hundreds of feet. He'll wave his arms in a kung fu fashion, chanting "Inferno Fire..." He them throws them in front of him with his palms out, chanting "...Beam!" He fires an intense beam of fire at the enemy. |
Inferno Phoenix Revive |
He lays his hand on a fallen comrade's chest and looks toward the sky, chanting, "Inferno Phoenix..." The legendary fiery bird descends from the sky as he chants "...Revive!" The bird will transform into pure fire and surround his comrades body, then disappear into him/her. He rarely uses this since it not only helps his comrade to "rise from his/her ashes", but it also drains much of his energy too. |
Inferno Fury |
This is a lovely sequence for his most powerful attack. He rips his mask from his face, revealing his eyes glowing bright orange. He'll then hold his arms out to the sides and slowly raise them, chanting "Inferno..." The area around him will engulf in flames. He then waves his arm toward his target, yelling "...Fury!" to send a large cyclone of flames, covering an area larger than that of a pro football stadium. He rarely uses this attack since it's his most powerful attack and that it's normally used as a finishing move. |
Flame Sword Attacks |
Flame Sword Dance |
He tosses his flame sword in the air, chanting "Flame Sword...," causing it to float above him. With a wave of his arm, he chants "...Dance!" making his sword fly swiftly at his target and dance around it with great speed. |
Flame Sword Strike |
He often uses this as a finishing move. He'll raise his sword. As he chants "Flame Sword..." numerous balls of fire collect into his sword, setting the blade afire. He then chants "...Strike!" as he swings it at his enemy with all his might, causing his enemy to disintegrate in a flash of fire. |
