This is the second of my new line, a fanfic takes place in the first season of Sailor Moon, after the "Warrior of Fire" Anthology. That means Titanius is gonna be showin' his face. It is somewhat connected with the previous anthology, so we're gonna see some action in this fanfic. Y'all just hang on to y'all's hats and watch to see where this goes. Another MAJOR note, these will be the first fanfics in which I use the Japanese names, and possibly even a few of the Japanese terms. Here are the Japanese names of my original characters: Russell Hino: Hino Kyodai Daniel Yoruno: Yoruno Obake Deanna Kokorono: Kokorono Meijin Romano and Gabianni keep their names Titanius keeps his name Hope this clears up any confusion. So, with my new line of fanfics, here's the Y2V... ...Disclaimer: Sailor Moon and most of the characters ain't mine. They belong to Naoko Takeuchi, and I thank that woman for creating such great entertainment for all of us with a lot of free time on our hands to enjoy. The English dub belongs to DiC Entertainment and CWI, and I thank them for bringing' it to America. And da'gum it Cartoon Network, takin' it off the line-up. It's a good Anime, bring it back to us. Anyways, Russell Hino, Hino Kyodai, Tuxedo Inferno, and all his other identities are MINE (in a deep, dark, growling voice). Titanius, Daniel Yoruno, and Deanna Kokorono are also purely my creations. Well, y'all enjoy this fanfic and e-mail me. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- A Burning Bounty By Viper Inferno Queen Beryl sat in her throne room, constantly waving her hands around her crystal ball as if it were from muscle memory. She looked around at all her minions lining the walls of the throne room and wondered which ones can actually withstand Tuxedo Inferno's attacks. But Tuxedo Inferno was almost never alone anymore. He was usually either saving the Sailor Senshi, or accompanying them. Her question was not which of her minions can withstand him, but it's how many does she have to send to their deaths to take him down. "Queen Beryl!" a voice called to her. "You summoned, Empress Metallia-sama? What have you found on Tuxedo Inferno?" she replied. "Since the Sailor Senshi are better acquainted with Tuxedo Inferno, they will work closer together as a team than they have in the past times they've met," Metallia's voice echoed, "Yet, Tuxedo Inferno himself is better aware of his identity as the Prince of Mars. He is more determined than ever to fight for the Sailor Senshi's cause, and is more determined to exterminate the Dark Kingdom. Tuxedo Inferno is indeed as much of a threat to us as the Sailor Senshi." "I assure you, Empress Metallia-sama, the Mars Prince will be dealt with, as well as the rest of the Sailor Senshi," said Beryl. Queen Beryl then analyzed the situation, remembering that Titanius had said a similar thing after his last victory against the Mars Prince. Remembering that victory against him, she came up with a quick and easy solution. "Kunzite..." she called. At her summon, King Kunzite instantly appeared, giving a bow to Queen Beryl, "You summoned, Queen Beryl-san?" "You remember what Titanius had said about the Mars Prince after his recent victory?" she asked. "Yes, my liege, something about him as being more of a threat to the Dark Kingdom," Kunzite replied. "Our Great Leader has confirmed him as being that," Beryl explained, "But now that he and the Sailor Senshi are working together, they together are an even greater threat to the Dark Kingdom." "What do you propose, Queen Beryl-san?" Kunzite asked. "I will raise the bounty on the Mars Prince," Beryl illustrated, "With Titanius' recent victory against him, this will be right up his ally, and the higher bounty will motivate him to take that Mars Prince out. He seems to have a personal vendetta against him. This should make him even more determined to rid us of the Mars Prince." "You want me to summon him?" Kunzite asked. "No," Queen Beryl answered, with a little faith, "Pass the news of the increased bounty to him. I'm sure Titanius will devise his own plan, as resourceful as he is." Kunzite bowed to Queen Beryl, "As you wish, my Queen." With his task at hand, Kunzite turned around and walked towards Titanius' chamber. Titanius' chamber... Titanius paced about his chamber, wearing only a tight black T-shirt, black slacks, and black knee-high boots. His armor rested against a pillar underneath a torch. As he walked about, he pondered the drawing of a weapon he had designed himself resting against the wall. After thinking it through, he stopped to look at the over half-completed product lying on an old medieval-style table. "I wonder if we actually have one of those crystals from our last missions," Titanius asked himself. Then, a loud knock at his door interrupted his pondering on how to complete his project. "Yes, what is it you want?" he answered rather harshly. The door barely opened before Titanius' frustration over his nearly completed project sparked, "Can't you see I'm busy in... oh, Kunzite-kun. What is thy bidding?" Kunzite welcomed himself in Titanius' rather dimly lit chamber, the green in the walls and pillars being seen only in the light of the many torches. "I bring you news from Queen Beryl," Kunzite explained, "Due to the greater threat the Mars Prince poses to the Dark Kingdom, her Royal Highness Queen Beryl has raised the bounty on the Mars Prince." "Sounds very interesting," Titanius replied. "She figures that a higher bounty on his head will motivate you to double your efforts in ridding us of him," said Kunzite. "Oh, but little does Queen Beryl know that I already had a plan to not only take the Mars Prince, but those Sailor Senshi as well, who are always getting in the way," Titanius explained, with a grin on his face. "You mean only I know about this project?" Kunzite asked in astonishment. "Call it one of my more resourceful plans on taking those Sailor Senshi out for good," said Titanius, "Since Sailor Moon caused me to lose the last one, I decided to build me a new one, better than my last one." "It was your favorite weapon," said Kunzite, "I can see why you miss having it around." "But I still need some parts to finish it," Titanius pointed out. "What exactly do you need to finish it?" Kunzite asked. "Well, I could use a de-atomizer, a power shunt, and most of all, a crystal," Titanius listed. "I can help you with a power shunt," said Kunzite, "We also have a number of crystals too..." "No, not just any crystal will do," Titanius interrupted, "my last one had a lesser crystal to make it as powerful as it was, but no ordinary crystal will do. For this one, I need a stronger crystal." "What kind did you have in mind?" Kunzite asked. "Remember the last mission we pulled off?" Titanius asked, remembering a recent event. "Yes, we tried to steal an ancient spirit crystal, but we lost it on the way back," Kunzite replied, remembering how angry he was when he lost it. "Exactly," Titanius confirmed, "My last one had a lesser dark crystal, but this spirit crystal, used in the hands of our darkness to bring out its rather darker half, will make it more powerful than my last. I propose to take a few soldiers out and find that energy crystal we dropped." "Do you know where exactly it ended up?" Kunzite asked. "We both know it's up in the mountains, but I'll need Zoicite's dark crystal to help me find it," Titanius answered. "You are so resourceful," Kunzite complimented. Titanius cracked a smile, "I know. After I have the spirit crystal, all I'll need is a de-atomizer and I can finish my project." "Did your last one have a de-atomizer?" Kunzite asked. "Of course it did, same kind I'm wanting now," Titanius replied. "It's gonna be tough finding a de-atomizer that small, but I'll look through all our last kings' stuff and see what I can find. If not, I'm sure there's a plant in Tokyo that has the one you're looking for," said Kunzite, turning around to leave the room. "Thank you, Kunzite. Once I have this project completed, the Mars Prince and the Sailor Senshi will fall one by one. MUA HA HA HA HA HA HAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!" Titanius laughed in pure amusement, with Kunzite already out of the room. Mall... In the vast mall, it was much quieter than it was during the big rush during the Christmas season. Every bit of décor, Christmas music, and all evidence of it being Christmas were all but gone. The mall now beared its usual mall décor, with a little classical music in the background. Hino Kyodai was taking a stroll along the second story rail, separating him from a rather dangerous fall to the rock-hard first floor. Since Rei was in another store looking for spiritual goods to further decorate her room, he walked with his best friend Mamoru, looking for a store that'll suit their mood. "So, what about this princess in your dreams again?" Mamoru asked, remembering that Kyodai too had dreams of his princess, "What all was in your dreams about her?" "Well, I do remember I was at this majestic palace," Kyodai explained, "It was well decorated and had all kinds of music in the background." "I remember the same thing with the Moon Princess. It was in a majestic palace like the one you explained. But I remember a balcony where she stood, with her hair blowing in the wind. I remember this glimmer in her eyes when she turned to look at me, with her face almost as if she was happy to see me." Mamoru explained, pointing out similarities and differences. "Hey, I remember a balcony too," said Kyodai, with that thought immediately coming to mind, "And I too remember glistening in her eyes. They were ocean blue." Kyodai smiled at the very description of his princess' eyes, "I remember dancing with her to aquatic music. That in my dreams is probably what got me into aquatic music in the present." "I don't remember dancing with her much at all, but I do remember having to leave her, and then come back to her. It's as if we were destined to be together, but with more of a Romeo and Juliet twist," Mamoru explained. "Those relationships are always hell," said Kyodai, "But I'm not sure how mine with this princess was, if I even had one with her. There's still a lot about my past that I don't remember. But I do remember how her hair blew in the wind." They continued walking about the mall, looking for a good store to look at stuff. Soon, a familiar figure walked out of a clothing store in front of them. The long brunette hair, pulled up tightly, and her rose earrings let them know who she was. "Hi Kyodai-kun," she greeted. "Hi Mako-chan," Kyodai greeted back. She continued walking by and towards another store. "Looks like Makoto's here too," said Kyodai. "Did you ever think that Makoto could've possibly been that princess in your dreams?" Mamoru asked. "Sometimes I did," Kyodai answered, "Thought's crossed my mind with just about every girl I've dated, or even taken on a night out. Makoto could've just as easily been the one as Minako was." Mamoru cracks a smile at a thought that comes to mind, "You ever think for one moment that Ariana could possibly be the princess?" Kyodai's eyes widen in surprise, thinking about the ditzy cheerleader at Azabu Tech, one who just barely slipped into enrolling there. "Hell no," he immediately let out, "No way is that girl ever the princess. She's not... sophisticated enough." "I heard she likes you," Mamoru teased. "Really? Her?" Kyodai asked, wondering how a girl like Ariana could like him, "No way. Who'd you hear it from?" "Oh, a certain guy on the cheer squad in our Orientation class," Mamoru answered. "Tomoto? That little jerk who likes to spread rumors around?" said Kyodai, knowing what kind of person Tomoto is. He then thinks about what Tomoto was spreading, "So what if Ariana likes me. She'll go after any guy on the soccer team." "Any girl could be that princess in your dreams," said Mamoru, returning to the subject. Just then, they passed by a bookstore, giving them both a great idea. "Say Russell, wanna see what new books are out?" Mamoru asked. "Great idea, I'll look for books and magazines, probably car magazines that'd help me choose a good car," Kyodai answered. The two men entered the bookstore, both going towards the fiction section. As they begin looking at various science fiction books, another familiar figure walked into the bookstore. This time, Kyodai reacted differently to seeing her. His heart skipped a beat and began racing at the site of her, not much, but enough to give him a little anxiety. "What is it, Kyodai-kun?" Mamoru asked. "I just saw Ami come in," Kyodai answered. "Really?" Mamoru said as he began looking for her. He then catches her walking close to where they were, stopping in the romance novel section. "I see her," he said, "over in the romance section... wait, she's moving to the fantasy section. "I didn't know she liked romance novels," said Kyodai, "I always thought she was the science type. Guess she has some room for other forms of literature." "Well, some romance novels I've seen have sexual content off the walls, to the point of near pornography," said Mamoru, "I don't know why girls like them." Kyodai barely responded as he continued looking at Ami browsing through books, with her back turned to him. "You know, Mamoru-kun?" he said. "Know what? That girls can be just as bad about sex as men are?" he said, not even realizing that Kyodai wasn't listening. "No, that I've often thought about even Ami as being the princess in my dreams," Kyodai answered. "What makes you think that?" Mamoru asked. "Well, she seems sophisticated enough, serene like the Pacific, and quite beautiful, like the moon glistening in the lake," he explained. "Jeez, Kyodai, you're just as bad as those romance novels," Mamoru commented, "Did I mention romance novels were mushy too." "No, she's just more like the princess than any of the other girls were," said Kyodai, "I've often thought that both Ami and the princess are the same girl." "Like you said earlier, any girl could be the princess," said Mamoru, "Come on, let's go." Both men then turn to leave. As they were leaving, Kyodai turned back one last time, catching another glimpse of Ami before leaving with Mamoru. Just as the men were leaving the bookstore, they saw a man leaving the nearby electronics store with a look on his face that arose Kyodai's curiosity. His long silver hair, his rather beach-tanned skin, and the rather shady look in his grayish-blue eyes raise one thought in Kyodai's mind, "Now I've seen that man before, but where?" "He looks like someone we've fought in battle before," said Mamoru. Kyodai took another good look at him just as the man turned and walked away, "Yeah that's him. But, what the hell is Kunzite doing here? I never knew he was the type to go someplace undercover." "I don't know, but he was carrying something out of the store," said Mamoru, pointing out the bag Kunzite was carrying. "I find that strange too. For once, he's a paying customer, but I wouldn't put it past him," said Kyodai, "I better find the Sailor Senshi and tell them about this." "You know where to find them?" Mamoru asked. "Of course I do, they're my... I fight side-by-side with them like you do," Kyodai explained, almost spilling it out that Rei her friends were Sailor Senshi before he stopped himself, 'But that won't be 'til later on today.' "Well, he's gone now. But I'd keep on the lookout for him," said Mamoru, trying to get their minds off Kunzite, "Hey, lets go to the music store and see what else you remember from your dreams." "Sounds good to me," said Kyodai as both men headed to the music store. Himalayas... The snow was blowing about the Himalayas, making finding a spirit crystal nearly impossible. With almost a million square miles to search for the crystal, Titanius' job of finding it was sure to be a living hell. But, Titanius had Zoicite's dark crystal, the very crystal Zoicite had killed Nephlite for, to help him find it. So that increased his chances of finding the crystal in the blinding weather of the vast Himalayas, even if it was buried under 10 feet of snow. Titanius pulled out the dark crystal and began tuning it to look for a crystal. "Nephlite was always the odd one, turning to the stars to find his way," he commented, "I don't need the stars to find that spirit crystal, but his dark crystal is indeed a useful tool. No wonder Zoicite killed him to get it." With his black Eskimo parka keeping him warm, he walked about the frozen plateau, with the taller mountains of the Himalayas not far from him. His soldiers followed him, ready to jump when the crystal detects the spirit crystal. "Damn Kunzite for dropping that crystal," he said to himself, blaming Kunzite for losing it, "But damn whatever attacked us, making Kunzite drop it in the first place. But at least I have a good idea of where to find it." With that thought in mind, Titanius headed towards where he remembered being when they lost the crystal. It must've been some powerful warriors guarding that crystal, especially when the nature of a legend surrounding that crystal made it worth their lives to protect it. For all Titanius knew, those defenders might've found the crystal after he and Kunzite lost it, which made it even tougher to search for it. Then suddenly, the crystal began glowing and making a low hum, letting Titanius and his soldiers know there was an energy source nearby, possibly that of the spirit crystal. His soldiers snapped to attention, ready to receive orders from Titanius. He only shook his head, "Idiots, you don't even know if it's the crystal yet. I'll lead the way, you just stay by me and don't lose each other in this blizzard." Titanius then began heading toward where the crystal was pointing. As they head down the plateau, barely seeing 6 feet in front of them, one of the soldiers in front of him takes a long plunge down. Titanius rushed to where the soldier was to find a steep slope down overlooking who knows where. The blizzard made it even harder for Titanius to see how far down this cliff even went. He took a look at the crystal again, only to find the signal getting stronger. "Damn, the crystal's down there," he cursed, "But how far down do I have to go to get it?" He decided put the dark crystal up and grab some rope and hooks to try and rappel down the steep slope. His soldiers were quick to respond and set the hooks up for them to rappel down the cliff. "Ass kissers," Titanius commented. With the rope and hooks in place, he grabbed on to the rope and began sliding down the icy cliff. His soldiers followed behind on their own ropes. After a long descent, Titanius made it to flat ground. After examining it, he found it only to be a small ledge, one barely large enough to pitch a tent. "Stop!" he commanded, keeping the soldiers from going ahead of him, "I'll go first. Looks like we have a long way to go." He pulled the crystal back out to see how much closer he was. This time, the crystal's glowing was more intense and the humming at a higher pitch, letting him and the soldiers know they were getting closer. Visibility was also improving slightly as they were descending. Now, they were only able to see 8 feet in front of them. So Titanius put the crystal back and began rappelling again, with his soldiers following close behind. Seconds later, gunshots sounded. One of his soldiers yelped and began falling the long way down as a bullet hit him. "Shit!" he yelled as a spray of bullets missed him by inches. Luckily, he threw up a force field to save himself from the onslaught of gunfire. His soldiers jumped, sliding down the ropes ahead of Titanius to avoid being shot by whomever was shooting at them. Titanius looked back to find out where those gunshots were coming from. As more shots were being fired, a flash of light broke through the blizzard, letting Titanius know where the gunman was. He slid down the rope, finding another ledge. He set himself down and threw both his hands at the gunman, blasting him with bolts of purple lightning. With that threat gone, Titanius took his crystal out. Gunshots below began sounding, telling Titanius that his soldiers had probably made it to the bottom. Yet, he paid attention to only the dark crystal, which was going absolutely crazy. "Perfect, it's right here somewhere," he said as he began looking towards where the ground was. Somehow, through all that fog and blowing snow, he sees a green light shining below. "YES!!!" he yelled victoriously. But with that yell, bullets began ricocheting close to him. It was quite stupid on his part for letting the gunmen know where he was. 'Damn, I gotta get out of here,' he thought to himself as the sounds of the gunshots grew closer and closer. With an innovation in mind, he pointed his arm towards the light and fired his chain at it. As soon as it hit, he began reeling it in. More anxiety came over him when the light started getting closer and closer, telling him he snagged the crystal. Soon, he took in his hands a pale green crystal. He admired its perfect crystalline structure, but only for a short time before a bullet grazed his parka. With the crystal in his hands, he decided to forget about his soldiers and get out of there. He threw a smoke bomb, masking himself. A gunman suddenly jumped to where Titanius had dropped the smoke bomb, ready to kill whomever was intruding. When the smoke cleared, only the gunman stood as Titanius had disappeared. "Damn, they got the spirit crystal," the gunman said as he threw his gun down in anger. Mall food court... Minako and Usagi sat at a restaurant after finishing a hearty lunch. Since most of their shopping was done, they decided to stay after their lunch and walk about the mall, probably guy hunting. They thought about guys they've had in the past, and ones they still look at. Right then, Usagi thought about Mamoru. Right as Minako was talking about all the guys she's liked, Usagi had fallen into one of her trances, thinking about Mamoru. 'Mamoru's such a jerk to me, but I can't help but to find him even more my type,' she thought to herself, 'especially since he is the very Prince Endymion I had fallen in love with those many years ago. I should ask Kyodai about him sometime, find out what he likes, and find out how I can get him to admire me more than tease me.' Minako's talking was interrupted when Usagi suddenly laid her head and arms on the table, still deep in her thought. Minako immediately knew what she was thinking about. She talked about him more ever since they discovered their pasts, before she had ever met Kyodai. Only Usagi talked more about how she truly felt about him, and not so much about how much of a jerk he's been to her. Minako knew exactly how Usagi felt, for she too had loved someone, truly loved someone. Usagi has yet to potentially experience with Mamoru that Minako had experienced with Alan back in England. She also remembered the sadness she felt when she realized that he had loved her "big sister" Katarina. Minako had loved and lost, and more than knew what Usagi was feeling. "Usagi-chan," she said, lightly laying her hand on hers, "I'm sure Mamoru will remember his past, just as we do and just as Kyodai did." "But it doesn't help any," Usagi said, "Why can't he just find it himself to see the true girl that I am? I know I can be a little klutz and a crybaby at times, but I know how to be a lady. I know how to impress a gentleman." "You're very spirited, and always cheer people up," said Minako, "I'm sure he'll see it past all that ditziness of yours." "Maybe I can get Kyodai to talk to him," said Usagi. "I don't think Kyodai has time to be playing matchmaker," Minako debated, "But he's still cute. I can talk to him." "You still like Kyodai, don't you?" said Usagi. "Well, he's such a gentleman, and quite the ladies' man. And I still find him sexy," said Minako, "I can barely understand why Makoto admires him so much, but won't even ask him out again." "I've noticed that Ami's been somewhat preoccupied," Usagi pointed out. "Oh? What do you mean by that? She's always seemed like the bookworm type to me," said Minako. "I mean what I see in her now is almost what I saw in her when Urawa first moved to her school," Usagi explained. "No, please don't tell me Urawa's back and Ami hasn't even told us about it," Minako said, rather surprised at the assumption. "I don't think it's Urawa. He's not back at our school," Usagi said, shooting that down, "Something tells me she has feelings for someone else." "But I thought Urawa was the one she liked," said Minako, remembering Ami's past feelings for him. "She got over him a while ago," Usagi explained, "But it's unlike Ami to have any feelings for a guy. She hardly makes the time for it." "I haven't noticed anything odd about her," Minako answered, "But I sometimes wonder what goes on in her head." "I can ask her about it sometime," Usagi suggested, "She and I are studying for our exams next week, before Spring Break." "Isn't Kyodai's and Mamoru's Spring Break the same week?" Minako asked. "That's what Rei told me," Usagi answered, "I just hope the Dark Kingdom doesn't attack us during that time." "I'd hate to have that happen," Minako agreed. With their minds somewhat off guys for a while, both girls got up and began walking about the mall, finding something to keep their minds off such distractions. Dark Kingdom, Titanius' Chamber... Titanius smiled with pure joy as he finished assembling his project. He had all the parts in place, everything calibrated, and ready to show off. All he had left to do was place the spirit crystal inside it and give his project its power. "Whatever happened to this crystal must've been drastic for it to lose much of its original power," Titanius commented after previously examining it, "But it's still more powerful than the crystal in my last blaster. This one will surely take on the Sailor Senshi and that cursed Mars Prince." He then took his futuristic-looking blaster by the pistol grip and placed the spirit crystal inside it. With the crystal seated perfectly inside, Titanius began working on the rest of the parts to finish enclosing his blaster. He remembered how Sailor Moon had destroyed his last blaster not long after he had met her and the Sailor Senshi. His blaster was his favorite weapon and his best one. With things heating up between him and Tuxedo Inferno, he decided to revive his favorite weapon and build himself a newer, more powerful blaster. It, along with all his other tricks, would make him even more powerful, almost guaranteeing his triumph. The rest of the process was rather easy as Titanius screwed the last cover onto his blaster, thoroughly completing his project. Now he was ready to show it off to the rest of the Dark Kingdom. He took the pistol grip of his rifle in one hand and rested the barrel on his other. He carried it down the halls of the Dark Kingdom, chuckling the whole way down as he thought of his impending advantage over Tuxedo Inferno. Meanwhile, Kunzite was standing in another room planning his next attack, a planning which was soon interrupted by maniacal laughter. He knew it was Titanius' maniacal laugh. 'Oh no, not again,' he thought to himself, 'sucking on the laughing gas after coming up with a bright idea.' Titanius then walked into the room, and to Kunzite's surprise, carrying a finished blaster rifle. "So you finished your blaster," Kunzite said, immediately guessing the reason for Titanius' laughter. "Damn right I finished it," said Titanius, "The spirit crystal's not as strong as its legend says it was but it'll indeed grant my blaster great power. Come with me, I'll show you." Titanius and Kunzite together walked down the call, with Titanius still wearing his evil grin. They made the short stroll to the training hall where a few soldiers were training for the upcoming mission Kunzite was planning. "Now watch, my good buddy," said Titanius as he flipped a selector switch on his blaster and aimed it at one of the soldiers. "What are you doing?" Kunzite protested. "Watch," Titanius replied, "HEY soldier!" Just as the soldier looked, he heard the distinct sound of a charging weapon. Just as the soldier analyzed the threat and began to charge Titanius, a bright green beam fired from the blaster, striking the soldier dead in the chest. The force from the beam send the soldier flying backwards at break-neck speeds, drilling him into the wall. Within a split second, the soldier fell dead from the blast and the impact. Kunzite looked on with pure shock, his eyes widened in both shock and in anger. "You're killing my solders," he said, still shocked from Titanius' actions. "That's not all," said Titanius as he switched the selector to another setting, "In addition to some oldies but goldies, like the beam and the..." He then fired at a larger group of soldiers with a cone of energy, as if out of a shotgun. "... spread fire function," he added, "It also has rapid-fire." He switched the setting again and pummeled the fallen troops with rapid blasts of green energy. "And for my finale, once the enemy is weakened, a good ol' Dark Kingdom trick of the trade," said Titanius, again switching to another setting. He then blasts the soldier with a softer green beam surrounded by lightning. He holds the beam for a moment as the soldier loses his remaining energy, causing him to fall unconscious. An orb then ejects from the butt of the rifle. "Energy drainage," said Titanius as he took the orb in his hand, "With one weapon, I can put the Mars Prince in severe pain, weaken him, steal his energy, and then kill him. He will suffer in the flames of hell for what he put me through," said Titanius as he blasted another soldier with his beam setting, drilling him into a pillar and almost knocking it over. "You killed my soldiers," said Kunzite, still in shock, yet admiring Titanius' ingenuity, "with a blaster more powerful than your last one." Titanius then walked off, with a more dark and angry look to his face, "I'll take the mission you were planning. Hopefully the Mars Prince will come, then I'll send his flaming ass back to the hell from which he came," said Titanius as he disappeared through the door. 'Queen Beryl did want me to take the Mars Prince after all, I'll just use your pitiful mission for it," he thought to himself as he smiled and began laughing with ecstasy. Mall parking lot... Usagi and Minako walked out of the mall after a good time together. After looking at all the clothes, especially dresses they would love to be in for the next school dance, the latest hits on CD, the new mangas out, and even a look at memorabilia of Usagi's idol and Minako's past, Sailor V, they decided to head home. They even walked about in the mall in between looking at merchandise, looking at cute guys, talking about girl stuff, and even played the games at the arcade. It was time for them to call it a day, so they stopped at the curb and awaited a taxi to take them to Minako's house, where they would do a sleepover. "That was great, being in the mall, looking at cute guys, and having fun with my former idol," said Usagi, remembering her admiration for Sailor V. "Yes it's great, isn't it, walking with a star," said Minako, striking a Hollywood pose. "Remember you use to be THE star, now you're a star with 4 more of us," said Usagi striking her Sailor Moon pose, "including the legendary Sailor Moon, a sailor-suited pretty soldier for love and justice." "Oh you're full of it," said Minako, poking fun at Usagi's remark. "Oh, you're just jealous because you're not in center stage anymore," Usagi argued back, in more of a friendly manner. "Is that why Sailor V merchandise sells better?" Minako rebutted, 'Touché!' "Is that why we get all the media attention NOW?" Usagi argued back. "Oh, Sailor V was better and you know it," said Minako. "Oh yeah, well I'm the REAL Moon Princess, and Sailor V wasn't so :P" Usagi said as she stuck her tongue out at Minako in their little friendly battle of feminine brawn. Just then, people began running out of the nearby exit from the mall, screaming and shouting. "What's going on?" said Minako, turning around. "I don't know," Usagi replied, "Let's go check it out." The girls began running towards the entrance to the mall, where people continued to pour out, screaming, "There's a man attacking the people." "Oh no, not the Dark Kingdom again," said Usagi as she and Minako pushed their way through the people and inside the mall. They made it to the middle of the mall to see a familiar face in all too familiar black and red armor and red cape. He had entangled in his chains a couple people, draining their energy. "Titanius!" they said in unison as they ran inside a store. With nobody inside, they hid behind a clothes rack and pulled their henshin pin and brooch out. "Venus Power, Make-Up!" "Moon Prism Power, Make-Up!" After transforming into Sailor Venus and Sailor Moon, they dashed out of the store to meet their adversary. "What is Titanius doing here?" Sailor Venus asked. "Terrorizing the people," Usagi answered, "But I won't stand for it. She then struck a battle pose, "TITANIUS!!!" Titanius looked in the direction of his name being yelled at him, only to see one of his very adversaries. "Sailor Moon? You're always getting in my way," he said, disappointed that he attracted her and Sailor Venus instead of the Mars Prince he so wanted destroyed, "Go home. My beef isn't with you." "But my beef is with you for terrorizing mall shoppers like myself, having a great time with either their shopping or hanging out. I won't stand for your actions, no matter who your beef is with..." said Sailor Moon. "...Agent of love and justice, a sailor-suited pretty soldier..." she began to say. "Enough of your damned motto. I want the Mars Prince, not you," said Titanius. "How dare you insult the Sailor Moon battle motto," Sailor Moon said with anger, almost lashing out at him. "He's after Kyodai?" said Sailor Venus. "In the name of the moon, you'll be punished," said Sailor Moon, striking her final pose. "I guess I can't convince you to let me be," said Titanius, "Very well then. If this plan didn't work, then this plan will." He released the people and threw his hands into the air, forming a ball of purple energy above his head. Sailor Venus was quick to respond as she threw her fingers into the air, "Crescent Beam!" Titanius had released his ball of energy and sent it flying into the two Sailor senshi, while at the same time, Sailor Venus had fired her crescent beam at Titanius. Titanius' energy ball struck right between the two senshi while Sailor Venus' crescent beam struck Titanius in the chest. All three warriors went flying onto the second floor, where they both quickly recovered. Meanwhile, Rei was in another store when she heard the commotion. She ran out with what was left of the people to find Sailor Moon and Sailor Venus locked in battle against Titanius. She quickly pulled out her communicator, "Sailor Team, Titanius is at the mall. Sailor Moon and Sailor Venus are already keeping him busy. Get here quick." She then put it up and pulled out her henshin pin. "Mars Power, Make-Up!" Sporting her red sailor-suit and her trademark red high-heels, Sailor Mars burst out and aimed her pointer fingers at Titanius. "Fire SOUL!" With a ball of fire forming right at her fingertips, she aimed again at Titanius, sending it in his direction. Her flame hit dead on the spot as Titanius was too busy with Sailor Venus and Sailor Moon to see it coming. Titanius flew into a nearby store, with his armor singed by Sailor Mars' fire blast. He recovered seconds later to see Sailor Mars in front of the store, charging inside with burning hands. "Damn, not another Sailor Senshi," he said as he drew his sword and swung it at the charging Sailor Mars. She only jumped out of the way, right behind him, and swung her fiery hand at him. Titanius only ducked and swung his blade at his opponent. Sailor Mars was lucky to jump back as his blade slashed only the fabric of her sailor suit. He looked behind him to see Sailor Moon's tiara flying at him. He quickly ducked and charged at Sailor Moon, wanting to take the battle back in the open of the mall. Sailor Moon dodged to the side and let Titanius fly right by her, missing by mere inches. Titanius flew out of the store and back in the open, only to find the other 2 Sailor Senshi, Sailor Mercury and Sailor Jupiter, staring right at him, ready to strike. "There's just no end to you, is there," said Titanius, "Well, you 5 will do just fine in bringing me that Mars Prince. Now, why is that pyromaniac Sailor Mars not out yet?" "No way in hell am I gonna let you touch my friends," said Sailor Jupiter as she crossed her arms and an antenna popped out from her tiara. "Wait, Sailor Jupiter..." Sailor Mercury said, striking her own battle pose, "Shabon Spray!" She launched a volley of bubbles at Titanius, "NOW!!!" "Supreme Thunder!" she yelled, throwing deadly bolts of lightning as the volley of bubbles neared Titanius. The lightning came in contact with the bubbles, turning them both into even more dangerous weapons. They struck Titanius all over, giving him his frequent flyer miles. He recovered seconds later, analyzing his threat. "You're not as stupid as you look," he said as he threw his arms in the air, "How about THIS!" From his hands, he sent bolts of lightning scattering about the entire mall area, striking all 5 Sailor Senshi and knocking them to the ground. "As you see, I've gained much strength since my last battle with the Mars Prince," said Titanius, "You don't even stand a chance against me." He then turned to see that Sailor Mars was among those he had taken down. "Ah, so you've come out after all. Now, let's lure the Mars Prince, shall we?" he said as he threw his hands in front of him, ready to give the struggling Sailor Mars a serious lashing. But just as he was ready to send dark energy at her, a rose flew and stuck into the ground between the two. Titanius looked up to see a familiar man in a black tuxedo, staring at him from the top of one of the mall decorations hanging from the ceiling. "YOU! I've had enough of your childish games. Where is the Mars Prince?" Titanius yelled. "The mall is a place where people gather to shop or to spend a well deserved weekend to have it shattered by the likes of you. Leave here and let the people have their fun," said Tuxedo Mask. Titanius only drew his sword jumped at Tuxedo Mask, "Then I'll just have to use you as well." Tuxedo Mask pulled his cane and extended it, ready to take on a worthy swordsman. Just as Titanius had made it up to where he was, Tuxedo Mask jumped down to the second floor. He then charged at Titanius and clashed swords with him, keeping the bounty hunter busy while the Sailor Senshi recovered from Titanius' nasty jolt. Titanius then got the upper hand and knocked Tuxedo Mask off the second floor. "Tuxedo Mask," Sailor Moon yelled as he hit the first floor rather hard. Just then a wall of flames surrounded the small second floor area where Titanius and the Sailor Team stood. "Yes, perfect," Titanius said in a rather deep voice, knowing his archnemesis had arrived. From the flames, right behind the Sailor Team, emerged Tuxedo Inferno. "I thought something fishy was going on around here," said Tuxedo Inferno as the illusionary flames disappeared, "And I thought Kunzite was the only threat here." Sailor Moon and Sailor Venus both turned to him, shocked at what they had heard, "You saw Kunzite here?" "He left the electronics store here," he explained, "For what, I have no clue." His only response was a more evil laugh from Titanius filling the mall. "I'll show you what Kunzite was here getting me the electronics for," he said as he drew a rifle, one like those seen in sci-fi movies. "Careful, he's got a gun," said Sailor Venus. "It looks familiar," said Sailor Moon, remembering it from somewhere. "Yeah, in science fiction movies," said Sailor Jupiter as she advanced towards Titanius, along with Sailor Mars and Sailor Mercury. "No, it's the same weapon he used when we first met him," said Sailor Moon, just then remembering where she had seen it. "Very good, Sailor Moon. But this is no ordinary blaster, the one YOU SO DESTROYED," said Titanius as he pointed it at Sailor Moon, "It was my favorite weapon and you destroyed it." He then looked to the Tuxedo Inferno, who was ready to protect the Sailor Team, "Now watch, Tuxedo Inferno, as I demonstrate the power of my new toy on your so-called friends, the Sailor Team." As he pulled the trigger, the weapon made a low charging sound before it fired an intense green beam, striking Sailor Moon in the chest and sending her flying into a nearby pillar with great speed, and great force. "Sailor Moon!" the other senshi yelled, watching as their friend was drilled into the pillar by a rather powerful weapon. "One down, 4 to go," said Titanius. Tuxedo Inferno couldn't believe the power of Titanius' new blaster. If it could send Sailor Moon into a pillar with that much force, and that much ease, then he wouldn't stand much of a chance against Titanius. He figured he had no choice but to face Titanius head on. "You think you'll take a knife to a gunfight," said Titanius as he threw his arm towards Tuxedo Inferno, firing his chain at him. Tuxedo Inferno jumped out of the way and drew his sword, ready to take this bounty hunter on. But Titanius only pointed his other arm, still holding his blaster, at Tuxedo Inferno and fired another chain from his wrist, catching him in mid-air. Tuxedo Inferno dropped to the ground, dropping his sword, as the chain entangled him. Titanius then send an electric current down the chain, giving his archenemy a vicious shock. Tuxedo Inferno then fell to his knees, weakened from Titanius' attack. "Now watch, Tuxedo Inferno, as I take out your friends..." said Titanius as he caught Sailor Jupiter charging him from the corner of his eye. He quickly pointed his blaster at her and pulled the trigger. The blaster made the same sound of charging before it released it's powerful green beam of dark energy, striking Sailor Jupiter, sending her down the mall with the force of a freight train and slamming her into the wall of another store, "... one by one." Titanius laughed in ecstasy as he saw Sailor Jupiter fall unconscious fall from his blast. Sailor Venus and Sailor Mercury then advanced, ready for battle. In response, Titanius switched the setting on his blaster to rapid-fire and fired multiple blasts at them, scattering them and Sailor Mars about the battlefield. He then turned to Tuxedo Inferno, still entangled in his chain, "I bet you're getting really pissed off at me right now. Good, because you're helpless to save your friends from their impending doom." Titanius filled the mall with laughter again as he switched it again and fired a green beam at Sailor Venus, sending her crashing through a couple panes of glass with enough force to leave a perfect shape of her in them before they shattered. Sailor Venus then fell unconscious as the beam drilled her into the store wall. "3 down, 2 to go," said Titanius as Sailor Mars and Sailor Mercury recovered and came together. "This bastard's tough," said Sailor Mars. Sailor Mercury donned her visor and pulled her computer out, "There's a massive energy source powering his weapon. It's as if it's something more supernatural than technological." "Very good," said Titanius, "I see your brains and your machines never fail you. This spirit crystal is indeed more powerful than my last crystal." Sailor Mars' eyes only widened at the sound of that, "A spirit crystal? Oh my god." "Surprised, aren't we, pyromaniac," said Titanius. "You bastard! How dare you use that crystal for such evil," said Sailor Mars. Titanius only laughed at Sailor Mars' showing of aggression, "I see you need to witness the power as well as your friend, Tuxedo Inferno." He quickly pointed the blaster at Sailor Mercury and pulled the trigger, blasting her with a green beam and sending her sliding on the ground with great speed, through a wall into another store and drilling her into the other wall. "I hope your watching, Mars Prince," Titanius yelled back, making sure he still has his nemesis' attention, "See, you use to be the mighty warrior who would come and fight alongside the Sailor Team when they were in trouble, as well as your friend Tuxedo Mask. Now, Tuxedo Mask is down and you're totally helpless and can only watch as I take the Sailor Team down." "And you use us in your little vendetta against Tuxedo Inferno," said Sailor Mars, "You don't even deserve a battle with me. You deserve to burn in hell." The clasped her hands together and concentrated hard, "Fire SOUL!" she then threw her arms out to her sides and sent a wall of fire flying at Titanius. Luckily for him, Titanius jumped out of the way and pointed his blaster at her. He pulled the trigger, spelling the end of Sailor Mars as the beam struck the ground below her, causing it to crumble out from under her and taking a plunge down to the first floor. With Sailor Mars on the rubble, struggling to get up, Titanius advanced toward her. "Hey Tuxedo Inferno," he called out to the nearby Tuxedo Inferno, switching his blaster to rapid-fire, "The pyromaniac has fallen too." He pulled the trigger, pummeling Sailor Mars with deadly rapid-fire blasts. After the onslaught, she lied there, totally unconscious from his attack. "Damn you, Titanius. Damn you to all hell," Tuxedo Inferno cursed as he watched his sister take a wild beating from Titanius' blaster. Titanius only turned back to his adversary. "You see Mars Prince, you're nothing without the Sailor Senshi and your mission to fight alongside them," said Titanius, "Their strength is yours. And without them to defend and without that strength, you're nothing but a petty boy." With Tuxedo Inferno still entangled in Titanius' chain, Titanius sent an electric current through it, giving tuxedoed hero yet another nasty shock. Tuxedo Inferno screamed in pain as electricity passed through his body, giving him the feeling of being in the electric chair. Titanius stopped and watched as Tuxedo Inferno plopped to the ground, then struggling to his knees. "Quite an epiphany, isn't it?" said Tuxedo Inferno, smiling as he began sending another current to Tuxedo Inferno. Tuxedo Inferno felt the life draining from him as Titanius had taken his friends down, and was now concentrating all his efforts on him. Titanius stopped, and Tuxedo Inferno fell again. Titanius walked toward his adversary, blaster still in hand, as Tuxedo Inferno began to struggle. Titanius made it to his adversary and pointed his blaster at him. "And now, Mars Prince," said Titanius as he switched the weapon to energy drain, "Your energy is mine. If the Dark Kingdom can't have you, then it can feed from your entrails." Right before Titanius pulled the trigger to spell Tuxedo Inferno's doom, a sharp pain pierced his armor and shot through his body. He dropped his blaster as his chain loosened its grip on Tuxedo Inferno. He looked down to see a rose embedded through his armor and piercing his chest. He then looked back up to see who had thrown it, "YOU! I thought I took care of you." "You're wrong Titanius. Tuxedo Inferno's strength comes from within," said Tuxedo Mask. Titanius drew his sword and prepared to take Tuxedo Mask on again, "Then I'll just destroy you like I soon will with the Mars Prince." He charged Tuxedo Mask, raising his blade to strike him down. Tuxedo Mask only drew his cane and aimed at rose stuck in his armor. As Titanius was ready to set his blade upon him, he extended his cane, striking Titanius right on the crack where the rose was, piercing the armor and sending Titanius flying backwards and into a pole. Titanius recovered seconds later, clutching his chest from the pain and pulling the rose out. "Damn you, Tuxedo Mask," Titanius cursed as he picked up his blaster sitting nearby. Meanwhile, Tuxedo Inferno struggled to his feet gathering what strength was left in him. He watched on as Titanius pulled the trigger on his blaster and knocked Tuxedo Mask to his feet with rapid-fire blasts. "Goodbye, Tuxedo Mask. It's a shame you won't get to see your friend suffer at my hands," said Titanius after doing his deed. "Hey Titanius," Tuxedo Inferno struggled to call out. Titanius looked over to see that his adversary had recovered from his attack and had somewhat freed himself from his entanglement. He held a voice synthesizer to his throat, "FROM HELL'S HEART, I STAB AT THEE." With fire burning in his eyes, Tuxedo Inferno grabbed the chain and yanked on it, "Inferno Hands..." At that moment, his hand engulfed in flames, with the fire beginning to travel up the chain. "... OF FIRE!!!" The flames then raced up the chain, exploding as it reached Titanius and sending him flying. As Titanius struggled to get up, Tuxedo Inferno threw his arms in front of him, "Inferno Fire, BEAM!!!" With that, he sent a beam of fire at Titanius, striking a harsh blow to him and sending him flying yet again. Titanius struggled, only to fall unconscious. Sailor Moon was the first to recover from Titanius' blaster, watching Tuxedo Inferno's final blow. She struggled to her feet and began walking to him. "Tuxedo Inferno," she said, getting his attention, "Are you alright?" "Yeah, I've felt better," he replied. "Where's everyone else?" she asked. "Right up here," Sailor Jupiter replied, helping Sailor Venus to her feet after their short, yet dangerous flights. Tuxedo Inferno barely paid attention to them as he retrieved his sword and walked to where Titanius was lying. As he was nearing Titanius, Titanius quickly looked up, playing possum, "This isn't over yet, Mars Prince." He then crawled over to where the unconscious Tuxedo Mask lied, "I'll just take him instead." "What?!" Sailor Moon replied from the distance. "What do you mean?" said Tuxedo Inferno. "Without him, you'll be just a little weakling. Farewell, Mars Prince," said Titanius. He then laid his arm over Tuxedo Mask and dropped a smoke bomb. "WAIT!" Tuxedo Inferno yelled, running over to the smoke screen. As it cleared, both Titanius and Tuxedo Mask were nowhere to be seen. "NO!!! Mamoru-san!!!" Sailor Moon yelled, running over towards Tuxedo Inferno with tears streaming in her eyes, "Bring him back!!!" "Titanius! Dammit, NO!!!" Tuxedo Inferno yelled, throwing his sword down. Sailor Moon ran over to where Tuxedo Mask once laid and dropped to her knees, crying. "Dammit, dammit, damn you, Titanius," she whimpered as she slammed her fist down, sobbing. Tuxedo Inferno walked up to her and placed his hands on her shoulders. "Bring my Mamoru-san back," Sailor Moon gasped. "He saved me from nearly dying by Titanius' hands, " said Tuxedo Inferno, giving her shoulders a gentle squeeze, "We'll bring him back. The Dark Kingdom will pay dearly." Sailor Moon got up and threw her arms around him, crying into his chest as all the other senshi walked up to them. They watched on as Sailor Moon weeped over her loss, knowing this wasn't the first time Mamoru had been taken by the Dark Kingdom. "I can't believe we lost him again," said Sailor Jupiter, "The Dark Kingdom will pay with blood." "How dare they split my brother's friendship with him," said Sailor Mars. "Titanius must be really getting to Kyodai, taking his best friend from him," said Sailor Mercury, "What a way to make someone suffer than to take their best friend from them." "At least there's some difference between now and then," said Sailor Venus, "This time, Usagi knows she has feelings for him. Titanius not only struck Kyodai, but Usagi as well." Sailor Mars walked up to her brother and looked up at him. Tuxedo Inferno looked down, only to get a nod from his sister before turning to Usagi. "Usagi," she said, getting her attention. "What?" Sailor Moon whimpered. Sailor Mars took her hand from around Tuxedo Inferno's waist, "Let's go home." Sailor Moon let go and walked with Sailor Mars. Sailor Mars then turned to her brother, "I'll meet you back home, alright Kyodai-chan?" "Yeah, home," said Tuxedo Inferno as he turned away and walked toward the mall exit. "Let's go to my place, you can spend the night with me," said Sailor Mars as they rejoined the other senshi, "I'll be here for you." Dark Kingdom Headquarters... Titanius watched on, still weakened from his last bout with Tuxedo Inferno, as Queen Beryl watched over the body of Prince Endymion, being fused with dark energy. "Soon, my dear prince, we'll be together," said Beryl, "We'll take the earth together, you and me, side-by-side. You will be mine, Prince Endymion, with all my love." She caressed his face, dreaming of the day that he becomes hers, after being infused with the energy of the Dark Kingdom. He won't break from this one as his friend the Mars Prince did. She then turned to Titanius, "You did well out there, Titanius. Bringing me Prince Endymion will sure do the Dark Kingdom proud, as well as do me proud. You defeated the Mars Prince and brought me Endymion, but you left the Mars Prince standing." "It was a great battle, but shouldn't I get some pay for bringing you Prince Endymion, someone I know you love so dearly?" said Titanius. "Well, seeing as I still need you to keep the Mars Prince off our backs, you won't get your pay now," Beryl replied, sending shock through Titanius' veins, "But since you brought me Prince Endymion, I'll add that to your pay after you thoroughly eliminate the Mars Prince." "You mean I did this all for kudos," Titanius exclaimed. "Don't act so surprised," said Beryl, "I still need you in my ranks. Paying you off now will only make you more lax in your job. Just exterminate the Mars Prince, and you'll get your pay, Capeesh?" Titanius gave a British salute in response, "Yes, Your Highness." He then turned and walked out of the chamber. "Damn that bitch," he said under his breath as he walked down the halls toward his chamber, "She must think I'm doing this for her. I'm doing this for me. Screw what she wants, I want that Mars Prince dead by my hands, and I want it done my way." Titanius made it to his chamber and walked inside, pondering his next mission against the Tuxedo Inferno. ----------------------------------the end------------------------------ Interesting turn of events, eh? Here, we have a sort of different way Mamoru gets kidnapped the second time by the Dark Kingdom. Looks like the rivalry's heating up between the two valiant warriors. I'm not quite sure how I want to carry this one on, but I'll find a way to get this rivalry moving, so I'll definitely be back. Watch for my next fanfics involving Titanius, as well as my other villains. This is only the second of my new line of fanfics.
